Amazing location and nice atmosphere

I have been to Reykjavik several times and this was my first time staying at the Hotel Borg, I will never stay anywhere else. I love this place, the bar is great the location is great and the staff are fantastic and it’s in one of my favorite cities.

We loved our stay at Hotel Borg! It was a very charming hotel, but updated with nice amenities. Was super convenient to everything and the staff was fantastic.

Difficult to Find parking Place If you drive

This was a perfect stay for us. The room was large and clean. The room was quiet and we spent very little time waiting for the lift. My wife is quite picky and she loved the room and the hotel. The front desk staff was very helpful and made all the necessary arrangements for our activities. The area outside the hotel was nice and the location made it easy for us to walk to several destinations. Definitely a nice stay. We enjoyed our time in their on-site spa. It was very soothing and not crowded. The fee for the spa was only $14 for the three days we stayed there. I would recommend the Borg hotel as a nice spot to base your Iceland adventures.

Our room 202 was extremely hot even with the heat turned off, window opened and fan 24/7. The bars nearby partied until 4:30 am everyday. We couldn’t close the window because the room was so hot. Front desk said there was nothing they could do to help about the hot conditions nor the noise. There was a security issue at our friends room 203. The room was unlocked when we returned from our excursion. They only had one key because the previous guests lost 1 of 2 keys so we had concerns since it’s an actual room key with the hotel name and room number. Asked to speak with the manager number of times. Unavailable…somewhat disappointing that guest safety is not a priority. Location was great but the hotel is definitely not 4 stars. It’s tired and worn

for the price I paid for my room, I found the Borg lacking in the following areas: 1) my bed- it was uncomfortable, and I didn't sleep well. It was low to the ground, basically like a cot and a full size. My 2 other friends had a comfortable queen-size bed. 2) the black-out shades were not sufficient 3) the temperature of the room was too hot 4) again, breakfast didn't merit the high cost and staff were not friendly or welcoming 6) my room was not cleaned the 2 nights I stayed here, despite my asking at the front desk for that service. 5) on a positive note, the decor of the establishment is beautiful and I love the historic memorabilia,

This was a fantastic hotel for sleeping comfort convenient location decor and service. Highly recommend!!

The check in was a bit weird since they couldn’t find our reservation but the hotel reacted appropriately and did everything to get us a room in a record time. The rooms were not anything special but clean and comfortable. To us the best part is def the location

The hotel is close to some very nice restaurants. There is a park across the street and the church is nearby with lots of shopping close by as well

This was our second stay. There's a reason for that. Very helpful, courteous, and efficient staff. Wonderful breakfast. Right in the middle of town. Etc. Highly recommend.

Hotel is lovely but we were put in a room out the back and there was a party until 1:30am across in an apartment. Very disappointed. Also the curtains were a little short in width so didn’t block out the daylight so we could sleep.

Hotel Borg is located in the city center. Perfect location surrounded by resturants, shopping, bars, coffee, tourist destinations. Hotel is very accommodating and have access to book tours and airport transfers. Breakfast buffet is huge and delicious. Front Desk is manned 24/7. No safety issues at this hotel. A special thank you to Tony/front desk for his help with our bags to bus stop #3. For planning purposes Hotel Borg is located near bus stops 1 & 3.

Borg Hotel is fabulous. The retro art deco design & details are beautiful. This hotel has been wonderfully preserved. The staff is fantastic: friendly and helpful. The location is right near everything yet tucked just off the main road. Accommodations are spacious, comfortable and convenient. Borg Hotel has great amenities. I will stay here again if/hopefully when I return to Iceland.
