Property was awesome for my 1 night stay. My Only issue was we had 1 big bath towel for 2 people. Would have been an easy fix if i would have called it in. I found a few hairs in the shower, nothing water couldnt wash down. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would book again

the room was nicely remodeled and had everything we needed. The parking was limited and if you have any vehicle larger than a small sedan it could be difficult maneuvering. Our biggest problem was we had a no smoking room but someone next door decided to smoke marijuana that pumped into our room and the management would do nothing.! So much for NO smoking signs and rules.

It’s a small motel but it’s very clean! I stayed for just a night but the room was great! Read for me as soon as I checked in! The front desk person was so nice too! Would love to book again for my next Channel Islands adventure!

The room was very cozy, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom shower was great. We had a room in the back so it was very quiet. My only complaint was that the man who checked us in was of few words and a little rude.

This is an odd property - in general it's worn hard around the edges. The parking behind the motel is difficult, especially at night. If it's raining and dark, don't even try. My room had a full-size kitchen in it that rivals ones in fancy homes - not sure who it's targeted for. The kitchen table seated two, but the mount was broken so the table wobbled. Air conditioning was fine and bed was comfortable. Staff was helpful. Full Kitchen - 10; Bed - 8; Bathroom - 7; Value 8; Location near beach - 7; Parking - 2.

Needs better soap and shampoo. Towels were marginal. Delayed check-in due to computer problems. Parking inadequate. Had to park on nearby street. Inconvenient.

This place was clean and I felt safe. Check in was easy and the staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay here! The room was clean, the area was quiet, and I felt quite comfortable throughout my stay as a solo traveler. The staff was helpful and personable.

It was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I felt safe although not much parking and I had to park on the street.

Dishes were stored under the sink and many of them were dirty. The sponge provided was wet when we arrived. No paper towels or dish towels provided with kitchenette. There was no spatula, but there were two ladles. Floor was also very dirty and the tv didn’t work.

Super convenient to stay for a concert at Ventura Music Hall. Two minute walk after a late show is awesome. You are paying for the location. Everything is good enough for the location. Front desk staff very friendly. Get room in the back for slightly quieter stay.

Immediately turned off by the room condition - stained bedspread and damaged wall.

This property doesn’t seems to be in a great place but the rooms were beautiful and well kept. So comfortable and quiet.

Upon check in we were told the sheets are white and you will be charged if they get any stains. Okay, I never plan on staining anything to begin with and im not careless but it made me feel stressed that anything they could try to fault me at would be additional charges. Then when i pulled down the bedding, there was cigarette holes in the sheets and another hole on the top of one of the beddings. We tried to find the front desk number, there's no front desk number on the phones...so you just have to Google it.. they said they knew about it. I would not stay here again, it did seem newly remodeled but already dirty. Absolutely no bells or whistles. Should be a motel 6.

The manager (owner?) was very friendly and welcoming. The room has clearly been updated with fresh paint and such. We were upgraded for no apparent reason and no extra charge, and ended up with a full kitchen which we didn't need (aside from the refrigerator) but the extra sink was nice to have. The beds were very comfortable. The location is ideal for what we needed. And we were given a room on the back of the building which was certainly quieter than one in the front would be; great for me since I tend to be a light sleeper. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to spend a night in Ventura.

First thing said upon checkin was “sheets are white in your room no shoes on the bed or I’ll charge you.” This was a quick family trip, not teenagers or college kids on spring break. It made me feel super uncomfortable the entire stay as if i was being grounded by a parent criticizing our every move. window screen and chair were broken and a stain on the sheets upon arrival. Crumbs in the baking pan and crevices of chairs. Random comouter chairs for a small dining table. No desk or extra counter space. No reachable rack to place luggage. Only two towels when we had a family of four in a room with two queens. Very unpleasant overwhelming plug in scent. Bathroom and kitchen counter and fridge were very clean. We always wipe down upon arrival and these areas we hardly picked up any extra dirt. Floor though was not mopped or cleaned and was bery dirty. Location is on a busy commercial street and didn’t feel particularly calm or safe. Water pressure was incredibly high and could not be turned down or adjusted. aside from not being eco friendly by wasting water in a drought ridden state this pressure was dangerous for children and there was no tub to work around this either. All in all it worked for our purpose and gets the job down if you need a place to sleep and cook for a quick trip to the area, but it isnt a place id stay to enjoy a longer visit and i would not expect a friendly welcome or to feel relaxed. This is a function over anything else choice.

Average motel, looking both outside and inside like nothing has been renovated for 50 years. Not enough parking for all guests, you may have to park on the street. On the plus side, the room was clean and quiet, but only had harsh ceiling lights, no bedside reading lights.

This is the place if you are looking for a place to rest overnight. Rooms are small- no closets/desks (your clothes are hung over the counter with the microwave). Bare minimum-bed, shower, spotty wi-fi, no ice machine and minimal parking. Rooms facing the street are going to be noisy.

At crystal lodge motel the worker at the front desk did not get his name. He was giving me a hard time that I was 18 and I needed to be 21 to get the room but in California you only need to be 18. Not sure why he was giving me a hard time. Ended up getting a room but he was threatening me to charger my cared multiple times if there were damages. I don’t not appreciate him giving me a hard time when I am only there for one night for a trip that I am on for a soccer tournament I clearly stated that in the beginning. I’m not sure what he thought was going to be happening but I hope he knows that you do not have to be 21 and he should not give 18 year old a hard time.
