Didn't get the room we paid for. Front door to the building malfunctions and leaves you stranded in the cold. Owner doesn't answer calls. Worst stay I've ever had.

The apartment is very clean and comfortable. It has great views and the location was awesome for proximity to things. However, we didn’t know from the ad that it is located next to a night club/bar so it was very loud until late. It was difficult to sleep which was a big problem. We also didn’t receive the check in information, arrived at 11 pm and had to spend an hour in the lobby trying to get in after a long flight. We were exhausted so this started the trip off rough. The phone # didn’t work for unknown reasons (we could call other Iceland phone #s).

The location is excellent for shipping and site seeing and this was the only place I could find that had two twin beds plus a queen for my family of four. That said, be aware that this is directly above a bar that has live music every night. While it ended relatively early, families with small children may not find this appropriate, and you may want to bring ear plugs. Also, with no front desk I also struggled to get fresh towels (had to ask multiple times and finally just caught the maid in the hallway).

Older building but very well taken care of. Lovely studio with everything you need. A little loud from parties on the street, but nothing closed windows and black out curtains can't fix! Contactless communication but all the emails, etc. are super helpful! Recommend.

Incredible location but not enough soundproofing on the rooms so very noisy if you are a light sleeper. Spacious. Heat wouldn’t turn off so very warm.

Fantastic location and easy to get a hold of management for early check-in. Only reason we did not rate a 5 is the strange smell, which was not overpowering at all, and broken lightbulbs in the hallway that never got fixed. Would stay again!

Nice Apartment with the necessary Equipment just at the main street. Some noice from the bars, but great view from our Apartment with balcony. The phonenumber to the Place given at Hotels.com was not in use, but it was tve right number at the entrancedoor. Great place to stay fir a couple of days and short walking distance to all facilities.

This property would have been great but it’s unbearably noisy. The live music is great but it’s impossible to sleep. The windows are single pane as it’s an older building and the bars down below are noisy until about 3 AM. None of us slept well unfortunately.

The apartment was centrally located near Rainbow Street, Hallgrimskirkja church, restaurants, coffee, bakeries and Bónus, grocery store. We enjoyed our stay as we could go exploring for the day, regroup and relax at the apartment, then head out again for dinner. The location is also close to bus stop #6, Culture House, for airport and tour group pickups. The apartment was clean and very comfortable.

The rooms do NOT resemble what you see in the pictures on hotels.com or on their own website. There is noise from the street and live music every evening and night. The apartment functions and the beds were clean and nice, but the furniture, floor, kitchen are really worn and well-used. The windows are old and not tight. A complete renovation would be needed. However, a really good location in the middle of the city and close to nightlife.

The location is terrific. The check in/out process was seamless and we were even able to get in a bit early (which was great). The unit amenities were as advertised and the unit was clean (the cleaning folks were lovely).
There are two problems with this place - one specific to the unit we were in and the other being a broader security issue. From a security perspective, this is an unmanaged property without anyone staffing the lobby. The storage lockers are not very secure and we found homeless people in the lobby multiple times (including smoking in the lobby).
The unit we were in was directly on top of a bar that had live bands playing music LOUD until at least 11:00 every night (and I understand it goes until 3:00 am on the weekends). This was not disclosed in advance and was a major problem with the unit.
Overall, great location but I would never stay here again due to the noise.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay in these apartments. They have a wonderful view of the mountains and are incredibly spacious. Katerina the host resolved any issues we had promptly, and was very helpful throughout our stay. The apartments are priced very reasonably for what you receive. We will certainly stay here again

Great location for an apartment in the middle of everything. The place was clean but the furnishings appear to be a tad old or just heavily used. Various lights were broken or missing. It just looked a little run down in the rooms but overall clean and a decent place to stay. The location is really what made it amazing.

Lovely apartment, easy self check in and luggage store etc. parking very close. It’s very central so slightly loud but no issue for my family.

Amazing location. Perfect for exploring the downtown area. The luggage room is a plus. The room had everything we needed. The self check and instructions were clear and easy to follow. This place is truly a great stay.

Large comfortable apartment. Location is excellent, near to shops, restaurants and tour pick-up points. Very quick and responsive to emails and queries. I will definitely book Room with a View again on my next trip to Iceland.

The apartment itself was very spacious and modern. However, we were so disappointed about the noise levels. From midnight through til 4.30am we didnt get any sleep because there are late night bars directly opposite/underneath and people were singing and shouting and there was loud music all night long. The first few hours of the stay were perfect it really was just the noise that was the problem

The location is ideal; perfect. But it's hard to find from the outside, even with GPS. We walked by it four times. Better signage helps. It's very clean and the room is comfortable. The inside can be confusing. Depending on which side of the hotel you're on, it can be difficult to find your room. Once we learned it, we were fine, but it was very confusing at the beginning. Overall, we would stay again now that we know how to find the hotel and navigate inside.

This was such a great little property. The parking was a bit confusing at first but I managed to figure it out. I paid for a meter close to the hotel to drop luggage and then parked my vehicle at the cathedral - free - overnight. Did the reverse in the am when it was time to leave. It's a beautiful walk.
There was live music at night from a bar down below but it finished by 10-10:30. There are no streaming apps on the tv. But I really wasn't there long enough to make it a bummer. Bed was super comfy and the linens were terrific.I would definitely come back!

Pro is it is spacious. Everything was quite old but clean. Difficult to figure out how to get hot water from shower and which way to point the shower head. Also at some point didn’t have any hot water. Bathroom light also was broken, got fixed after we called the owner, then broke again immediately after.

The room was nice and clean, and the location was convenient. However there are lots of bars in the area, including one directly behind the building and the extremely loud music kept us up till 4 am. I would not recommend staying unless you can sleep through any noise.

Room was not clean on arrival. Waited over 4 hours for the used bedding, dirty towels, bins emptied and general room clean to be done. No apology whatsoever. Just stay somewhere else and save yourself the hassle!

Awesome option to stay while at Rekjavik! The room was spacious and right in the middle of the Main Street! Restaurants, shopping, pubs, attractions everything at a walking distance!

The location was convenient but hard to find. People yelling on the street all hours of the night and a band playing. The water stunk. We did like the room , kitchen and beds. It was a great room.

Location, Location, Location! This is in the heart of the night life. Many sites walking distance. I did not get my check in email until 11PM the day of, so after I checked in, but phone service was helpful.
Front desk friendly, printed my boarding pass for me when leaving.
Kitchen well equipped, although we did not cook. Beds had 2 pillows each- a treat! Bathroom large. Did not use jacuzzi tub. Nice to have the large kitchen and living room area.
The room with 2 twin beds was very small and had no outlets.
It was noisy for the smaller bedroom being right in the road-but that’s what to expect right on a main road.
