Great location and great view. Thanks to very kind receptionist, we got a hotel on the 27th flor with a great view. The entire staff was very nice and helpful. Thank you very much:-)))))

Used to be a good area of town- I was traveling with my teenage daughter and felt very unsafe and had to change hotels. Ive been a regular NYC traveler over the past 25 years, and I’ve never felt this unsafe. I also felt like the hotel had a bad smell in the lobby. Hotel would not work with us to move to another Sheraton. And although I understand policies, I was disappointed they wouldn’t work with us. Hotels.com did what they could to help us, too, and the hotel staff still would not honor a move. We ended up moving and losing all of the money for our stay.
I hate leaving reviews like this! I think it could be a good stay for adults only looking for a good proximity to Times Square and just need a spot to sleep.

Perfect location. Walkable to Times Square and safe to roam around at night. The hotel staff were kind and friendly. The breakfast buffet was top notch. However, rooms are a bit tiny and dated, but honestly I didn’t mind what I was getting for the price I paid.

Hotel was close to penn station,it takes 10 minutes by walk.
It was compact room but enough for us,clean and comfortable.
we arrived at the hotel very early morning.They allowed us to use the room before check-in time.I was very happy with that.

I liked the location, the staff very helpful, front desk and the waitress I give them a plus.
The only bad thing is the elevator get very busy, it takes 15 minutes to use them.

Generally it was a good stay, staff were kind, friendly and willing to help out. Good location despite not so close to Times Square as advertised but still not too far off.

Overall good but tap in bathroom should have been extended more - tight to wash hands -hitting back of sink. Elevators slow. Should have one designated for cleaning staff during the day - too many offs and ons. Ice should be on every 5th floor. Having to go to level C is time consuming. Water in lobby should be available in evenings. Should have min 4 bath towels - only 3. No clock in room. It would be nice to see foam pillows.

My stay was great. The views from my room were nice. The a/c kept randomly getting loud at night. The surrounding area is dirty, crowded, and sketchy. The Duane Reade on the corner has multiple security guards through out the store. Also, just walking out the front door of the hotel you are stopped by guys trying to sell bus tickets.

I have stayed in many Four Points hotel and have never had an issue in the past. This hotel charged me a full days fee even though I prepaid. Two of our pillows were dirty. The smoke detector in the room needed a battery it beeped all night and every 3 minutes or so announced it needed a battery. When I brought the overpayment and dirty pillow issue to the front desk she was extremely dismissive, showed no concern and smirked at me.

The Four Points Sheraton Midtown Times Square is in an excellent location, a short walk to Times Square and other areas of interest.
The room was clean and comfortable if not a little bit worn.
The area around the hotel felt somewhat rough at times with persons who obviously were having some life challenges nearby. While nothing happened to us during our stay, a person travelling alone or not savvy might choose to stay in a different location.

The floors of the hotel were filthy, the cleaning staff were knocking on our door at 10:30 when check out was much later, and outside the hotel on 40th street is just about the worst place to be. Really dirty and shady area with a big homeless problem who have no problem sleeping on the floor with their pants off. You’re better off staying on the east side.

I felt extremely safe here. They had a guard and password to get into the elevators which made me feel very safe. The staff was wonderful to me. I did have to change rooms a couple times. The key wouldn’t work. But after that, it was a really nice stay. The hotel was in a wonderful spot. it was very clean and really nice

They did not offer early check in although I had received an email stating that you would just need to request it prior to check-in, which I did. Late check out was limited to an additional hour. Cleaning staff was very friendly...front desk not as much. The area was ok, some homlessness but didn't feel unsafe. There were 3 elevators and there was never a time within the weeks stay that all 3 were functional at the same time. Sometimes only one which made the wait up to 20 minutes. At one point I climber 19 flights of stairs to avoid the wait. I would probably choose a different hotel next time.

The hotel in general is good. The rooms are small but very comfortable and are cleaned every day. The hotel is very well located, they are close to metro stations and tourist places. The breakfast buffet is not very varied but the food is delicious and the cost is affordable. The street where it is located is not the most pleasant in the sense that it was very dirty, full of garbage on the sidewalks and with marks and the smell of urine. Apart from this small detail, the hotel is highly recommended for a family or couple's stay.

We had a great stay here ! Would highly recommend. In a great location within walking distance to time square, but also not overwhelmed with the people who visit time square. Near the subway, food, bars, and shopping. Nice staff, and clean. Will definitely be back.

Perfect location, we had a concert at Madison Square and it was less than a 10 minute walk to MSG and Times Square, definitely recommend
