Was a good stay… A/C wasn’t as cold as preferred but still comfortable

We booked this last minute as we were stuck in Hiroshima for another night due to the typhoon. It was a Japanese style room in a quiet area not far from the main JR station which we needed to walk to early morning. Expensive room for the state and age of the hotel but duvets were comfortable and we slept well.

Hotel with good location close to the train station and supermarket. Indian and Japanese restaurants around the corner. Nice and helpful staff, limited English but enough for essential communication. The room had tv, fridge and bathroom. Everything was clean, the bed was hard and the walls not completely soundproof. Still a good hotel for the price range, location was excellent.

We really liked the close proximity to the Hiroshima train station, it was only a 5 min walk. Staff were really friendly and spoke basic English which was helpful. We were really impressed with how the large the room was and bathroom was, considering we had experienced much smaller in Japan. There is little to no restaurants in the immediate area but if you walk only about 10 min down the road, you will start entering the main precinct of Hiroshima and discover lots of different places to eat. We walked about 4 km to the Hiroshima memorial peace park and enjoyed looking at the shops along the way. Overall We had a really pleasant stay and this was also the most affordable place In the area. The only downfall was that their in house restaurant does not offer a English menu which would be fine if there were still pictures however their menu didn’t include this either. I think the hotel would really benefit if they introduced this.

Everything was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to go to Hiroshima.

location just ok. The price is super expensive without any big holiday. If u want to fancy hotel. This is not the choice to u.but the price is super fancy. Price up and down too much. old hotel but the room I lived the bathroom has been refurbished. Which is makes me feeling little bit ok . Will not definitely recommend it with the price. Only if the price is down for a bit!!

Excellent location,friendly staff inspite of language difficulties

The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the main train station. The location is convenient. Although the hotel is old, I have nothing to complain about considering the price. Bathroom is typical japanese bathroom size as seen from other review, the size is ok for typical Asian.

the Hotel is a couple of blocks from the Hiroshima main station. as offered, the hotel is a Japanese traditional hotel and the rooms are nice, compact and clean. with most modern facilities as to bathing and sleeping (Japanese style). given how expensive everything is in Japan, the hotel is moderately priced and gives full value for the money we paid.

Generally, I think the hotel is good because of the good location and friendly staff. Just one comment about the air conditioner. The temperature is too high that my mum felt not so well and we cannot turn it into cold temperature.

Hotel has fun concept where each room has an art theme; painting, film, ceramics etc. and decorated accordingly. But don't expect an art museum experience. Interesting bathroom set up with big glass window between room and bathroom (romantic). Drawback: Thin walls, can hear noise, TV parties from other rooms. WiFi was not always strong, also broken when first arrived. Furthermore, chinese guests in hotel smoke in hallways, bathrooms thereby smoke travels into rooms. Worst of all is noisy chinese guests who go from room to room late in evening - very distrubing with the thin walls.

The hotel staffs are very nice and helpful. The maintenance staff fixed the light problem immediately once I reported to counter staff.

Once you know the location of the hotel, it is an easy walking distance to the train station from the hotel. When we were first arrived to Hiroshima we decided to take a taxi as we did not know the location. The taxi driver wasnt very happy for the short fare. The room was clean and comfortable.

The price is reasonable , and it is a little far to Jr hinoshima station

Do not stay here. Room was 74F at midnight and the hotel controls the thermostat to your room and they are too cheap and greedy to turn it down. They say they do not understand your English as an excuse for not fixing the problem- they knew I was visibly upset and would not either fix the problem or give me a discount- $130 USD for (thankfully) one night is not cheap. I finally got a fan after yelling at them repeatedly. The condition of the hotel shows they are cheap - the furniture is old and the hallways are dingy (think 1980s Days Inn but twice the price). Customer service is EXTREMELY POOR for the price.

Facility upgrade would be the additional points for this hotel

Great location. Easy to get around, only 5 minutes walk to station. Hotel offers bike rental for Yen 800 for a whole day. Electric powered so easy to use and useful for sightseeing around town. Reception staff extremely helpful despite limited English. Would recommend this hotel if you need access to Hiroshima station - to go to Onomichi (Shimanami Kaido) or Miyajima on day trips.

I actually enjoyed my stay here. I stayed in a single room which was comfortable for one person, it was really clean too. I loved the Shiseido products in the bathroom, robe, teabags, kettle, hairdryer. When I put a DND sign on my door, they left me a fresh change of towels, robe, toothbrush, etc hanging on my door. Staff were nice and friendly. Walking distance to the Hiroshima station. Wi-Fi was great. Overall very satisfied with my stay.
