My daughter and I stayed for a few nightsfrom 5 August 2019. The room at the back of the building was delightful. Comfortably furnished with a lovely bathroom. Spectacular view out across Torquay.The owners made us very welcome and gave us some good tips on places to visit. We're hoping to be back this August with my daughter's 2 children.... Lockdown permitting.

The new owners are very friendly and are working hard to make changes from the previous management. The family room we stayed in was very clean and suited us as a family of 4 perfectly. The breakfast choice was fantatsic and tasted superb. The children loved the swimming pool which will be even better once heated, which they are sorting soon. We had a peaceful 2 night stay.

Hosts on arrival were fantastic and friendly. Room was basic but clean and tidy. All you need for a short stay. Close to Torquay and to Torre train stn. Breakfast and evening meals are available.

Great place to stay, family room a good size, nice shared TV room with pool table, good car parking and great food.

Very clean B and B, friendly owners. Basic Breakfast included, cereal, toast very small glass of orange, tea or coffee. Full English is £5 extra. One of each egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, small amount of mushrooms and a tiny amount of beans. Wi Fi is advertised as available in your room, This is not so. When we pointed this out were told its an old building with very thick walls. We could have used the very cold lounge for our connection. I of each tea and coffee, 2 sugar 2 milk, per person per day. Additional items charged at 50p each item. Which is ridiculous! Cheaper to go to local supermarket. Hanging space for clothes will not allow for full length garments. Bedroom very small but clean. Bed comfy but there is a lot of noise from the road. Very poor value for money. Will not stay again.

Not at all what we asked for, not at all what we expected. We asked you to find a hotel for 4 couples, B&B, swimming pool, dog friendly.The pool was outdoor & closed. The breakfast was cereal & toast, English was chargeable on site when you arrived. Dog friendly it is NOT, dogs are allowed only in the bedroom and only when accompanied, access is granted via the back door only. The hotel has a folder in the room, which we expected to find, things to do, places to go, places to eat - NO, it is 8+ pages long of dos and do-nots and things which are chargeable, on top of the price you have already paid. Hotel dated, not welcoming, not a place to return to.
