Great hosts, nice room. Comfy bed. And not forgetting the star of the house, Ralph the house hoppo!

We had a good stay at Barrington Guest House. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't take advantage of the offer. Our room was spacious and had a new en suite bathroom which was a bonus. There was not a hairdryer in the room which is quite unusual these days. Our host was very warm and was ready to offer any advice or information should we require it.

Claire and Steve are very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is spotless, comfy bed and pillows 👍and a good breakfast cooked by Steve👍great little pub at bottom of road too. Would definitely go back to Barrington guest house.

We had an enjoyable stay. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. Accommodation was easy to find and very central. Will definitely be return visitors.

On arrival we met Steve our host ,very friendly and everything explained regarding our stay ,lovely guest house clean and nothing too much trouble,full English breakfast was delicious,near all the shops and sea front Both hosts friendly and other guests too Will definitely be back

No sea view as stated.cleanliness not up to scratch dust under bed and sideboard. Towels not changed daily. And bottled water is from the tap. Food rating is from 2018 and kitchen where food cooked is not the best. Friendly hosts .

What a beautiful guest house , ideal location ! Walk up the hill to the high street , walk down the alleyways opposite & your on the seafront. Steve & Claire are great hosts, also very welcoming & knowledgeable of the local area . You are given a parking permit to park in zone A2, on the backstreets, plenty of parking, which is free ! I’d recommend visiting the castle £11 each , stunning views with a free guided tour , also the pirate ship £6 each , maybe see the dolphins like we did . To top it all off a great breakfast with a cup of Yorkshire Tea ! Will definitely return.

Lovely decor, delicious breakfast but mattress was past its sell by date and had no support. Had practically no sleep. Made a discreet complaint the following morning and the response from the host was ridiculous. We were aggressively shouted at and threatened with the police to evict us if we didn't leave immediately. Fearing for our safety we left. We were not offered another room and also charged for the second night that we didn't stay. We were both shaken up and my wife was in tears. Totally ruined our short stay to my home town of Scarborough. Do not stay here if you are likely to complain about anything.

This is a listed Georgian town house in spitting distance from the sea. It is a boutique style with high quality fixtures and fittings. I recommend this Guest house without reservation unless steep narrow stairs may cause you problems. The bed and shower were excellent as was the full English. Steve the proprietor was friendly and up for a chat. Overall 5*.

Nice clean, well looked after guest house with good sized bedroom & shower with decent storage. Hearty breakfast with friendly owners. Conveniently located for Scarborough sea front & town centre. The immediate area around the premises was beginning to look a bit run down (did not apply to the premises), and limited parking, but overall good value for the money.

The room was modern, comfortable and clean - Attention to detail was apparent. Friendly hosts and a hearty breakfast included in my price. Would certainly stay again when visiting Scarborough. The Guest house is situated on a pathway above a row of shops so don’t rely on Satnav for the last part of the journey. Parking requires a permit issued by proprietor on arrival.

Disappointed Room was on the very top floor up a very narrow potentially dangerous flight of stairs

The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated and are very clean and modern. The B&B is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and harbour and a few minutes more to the shopping centre. Breakfast was very tasty. We will return in the future.

Be careful of the room you book as the photos do not match up as we didn't get the room of our choice. Very well situated for town centre and seafront amenities. Our bed was a wee bit small for comfort and the separate bathroom was lacking a towel rail and mirror on sink was not safely fixed. All in all tho it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Steve & Claire were superb hosts, very friendly and helpful. Although we only stayed overnight we throughly enjoyed our stay. room was spacious and immaculately clean. Bed was rock solid and very comfortable. Top quality bedding and mattress leaves you not wanting to leave the bed. There is a fridge for your use which comes in handy if your staying for a few days. Tea and coffee with lovely yorkshire tea bags was a nice touch. The shower was really nice and had plenty of pressure. on suite bathroom was really nicely done, very modern with a light within the mirror. Nice sized tv with freeview channels. Breakfast was a cooked breakfast and is served at your allocated time you choose. ingredients were good quality and not your usual supermarket rubbish. Lots of money has obviously been spent on the refurb and nowhere do you sense a cheapness you find in a lot of BNBs. The whole place was spotlessly clean and is a credit to its owners. personally i would pay more than £80 a night to stay here as the place is spotless, modern, very well done and of good quality. location is also a bonus in terms of being mins to the shops and beach. Parking was via a permit steve gave me that allowed me to park at the rear. I honestly cant find fault and as an owner renter myself, i would be proud to own this lovely BNB. The barrington was absolutely beautiful, a lovely place to stay with lovely people, and their dog was an added bonus too, a very warm and happy environment, the rooms were very nice and very spacious, the food was great as was the location, we would definitely stay again

The one thing you will never forget are the extremely comfortable beds and luxurious sheets. If you can not manage all your plentiful breakfast have no fear. Ben the docile hound will happily eat all the leftovers.
