The fact that there was a bath in the room sills it to me and the girlfriend lives animals. X

We stay here often because we love the location ( near the Tram,to the Beach, lots of shops and restaurants/bars) and the ‘art deco’ feel of the Hotel. The staff are always helpful and the rooms are clean, well equipped and spacious. There are different bars to choose from and we also like to use the Spa that is co-located in the Hotel.

My mattress did not have a cover on it. We have a disabled child who uses a chair and because there are quite a few steps from the street to reception we need to use the chair ‘lift’ to get from the street to the hotel reception and visa versa . The chair lift works well but the area around it is very dirty. Also despite contrary instructions, guests are allowed to leave luggage in the area around the chair lift and at one point the lift was blocked with luggage and so we could not use it and had the manually lift the chair down the steps! The cost of Internet at £7 per device was expensive and therefore we did not use it. I would have been happy at £7 per room but we had three devices and that would have been £21 !

Location

Dated .room tiny .too hot .room slopped down so much so they had screwed the wardrobe into the wall it touched wall at bottom but was about 3 inches away at top. It slipped down when you entered the bathroom. The duvet was ripped. The fan in the room was thick with dust, the bath was rusty , the sink tap was thick with limescale. On checking out there was no how was your stay, or thanks for staying, save trip .. not even a goodbye!

The rooms was very dirty and hard to find the staff wasn't very helpful at all.The shower and TV was coming of the wall.not good for a royal hotel.

Facilities and how grand the lobby is

Very dusty room Hate to say it but some of the staff were very smelly and wore dirty clothes Also some very angry drunks were staying which made it unpleasant and made it feel un safe while staff just stood and said nothing Rooms are very out dated and so are the room keys

The location and the staircase

The room a standard of cleanliness would be nice . Most of the room was clean but what we discovered on the curtain pelmet disgusting
