The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly according to me everything was good

Sink in one of the rooms was leaking and we found it disturbing that one of the managers was shouting at a elderly waiter in front of us. It was not a pleasant site to see and left us feeling uncomfortable

Was dissapointed in the housekeeping as underneath the bed was dirt from previous guest. Breakfast was not good but understandably COVID19 restrictions applied.Dinner ordered grilled prawns via room service. Prawns where NOT fresh, No veg in savoury rice as described.Overall a 5 outa 10 stay.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and great comfort .

I felt like I was in a five star hotel, the friendliest staff ever, everything else was as amazing. They did not make their dining area feel awkward. They made sure that i don't miss the buffet. Everything felt like there was no pandemic, even though they adhering to the covid rules but they still made me feel safe and comfortable.

Went to coastlands for my honeymoon and had so many problems with the room. The room telephone wasnt even working for me to call reception and complain. Had to use my cell to call them and only to have the maintenance guy come and disturb me on my honeymoon night wanting to do maintenance at 11pm at night

We stayed for 9 night so it was important that we had all the comforts of home. Coastlands provides that and even more. The bed was comfortable. Staff was always pleasant. The breakfast range varied every day which made it enjoyable. The hotel is only a short walk to Gateway shopping mall and is located in a very safe area.

This was a really excellent hotel where the staff could not have been more helpful or have done more for us. Our room was enormous and perfectly clean and tidy. The options at breakfast were vast and we definitely got value for money there!

It was ok. Nothing exceptional. The building is a little old.

Brand new facilities and rooms. Delux room was very spacious, the size of a studio. Reccomended especially for quick transfer to king shaka airport.

The hotel is really nice. We checked in late on Friday evening as we had attended an event. There was only ONE person at front desk and took forever to check in. The elevator takes a long time.I think there are too little elevators in that huge hotel. There are function venues so hotel guests unfortunately have to compete with the influx of people for the lift. Our room was nice except that the bathroom door did not close and was misaligned. Front desk gentlemen helped us by changing our room and gave us complimentary parking due to incovenience which was nice. Second room was really nice except that the shower is not completely sealed and the water seeps through the floor of shower into bathroom which makes it a bit dangerous as the floor becomes very slippery and unstable. I really liked Coastlands as we had stayed there in the past but feel like the standard is slowly deteriorating. I certainly hope thats not the case.

Wow.. okay I am classified as one of those really fussy people, but Coastlands just muted me completely! I was so impressed I even laughed at myself. The staff is the best.. from reception to the restaurant.. the porters..! The breakfast buffet is to die for.. the coffee..! Unforgettable..! except the waiters refused to tell me which brand it is.. lol.! Just one minor thing: the shower in suite 1003 spills water excessively into the bathroom.. I think it just needs a sealant of sort at the bottom of the shower door. Coastlands Umhlanga gets 99.99% excellence from me. I would definitely recommend it for both BUSINESS and LEISURE travels.

This hotel was well appointed, competently staffed, with an amazing Indian Ocean view alongside the largest shopping mall in the Southern Hemisphere. And the restaurant was awesome with a top notch staff. We can't wait to come and stay again.

Good quality accommodation as to roominess and comfort. Not particularly impressive in terms of staff attention, either at reception or restaurant. Reception and Concierge located on the 4th floor decreases the feeling of protection, even if you have a card to access your floor.

Was a pleasant stay and overall a pleasant experience. Only stayed for 1 night.

staff generally indifferent. Food OK Noisy - event on the night of stay which was extremely invasive. Told that nothing could be done about the noise.

No issues getting around to where we needed to be . Parking was ample and available.

The hotel and the rooms are beautiful. The hotel restaurant served delicious and varied foods. The curry was incredible. We would highly recommend this hotel.
