We had the six bed room with private bathroom. While spacious, the room was freezing with cold air blowing on us in the middle of winter. There were two showers but one was not useable because of the smell.

This was a good value overnight stay for central Utrecht, and great to have the private bathroom facilities. The room only has floor radiator that you can control, but I found it would only heat the side of the room nearest to it and not the rest of the room towards the bathroom. It wasn't a terrible issue, but a little irritating to be so cold everytime you walked to and from the bathroom.
Aside from that, there was a great view to the square from my room (#105) and a nice lounge area in the common space outside the room to work from or relax.

The staff are all very nice and helpful. The property is clean but I wish there are more lamp or light next to the table or the electric outlet.

This hostel is the perfect place for a weekend in Utrecht. We were 2 friend with 3 kids under 4 years old and the personnel was extremely kind to us. The structure is well equipped to host kids, they have high chairs for breakfast and also baby cots upon request. Cannot recommend enough.

Stayokay Utrecht is part hostel with bunk beds, and part hotel with very basic rooms. Staff is nice and helpful. It is very centrally located on a busy square. Very noisy during the night if your room faces the square. They give free earplugs at the reception.

Very pleased with this property. We decided to try a hostel for one night during our trip to let our kids see a hostel. We were so pleasantly surprised by this hostel. We did pay for upgrades like linen service and towels and Kate check out. Worth it to us. It was nicer than all our much more expensive hotels in three cities in Belgium. The location was fantastic. The service was great. We loved the little restaurant and bar connected to it and used their games. We would all stay here again.

The hotel is in a very nice area of Utrecht.
My room was nice (private room) but not very clean. The glasses and bottles of the previous tenants were still on the windowsill.
The worth was the all night party in the hallway in front of the rooms. I understand that this is a hostel but in other hostels there are rules and night hours.
Will definitly never return.

Great stay here at stayokay hostel.
Place is situated on a lovely square with restaurants and sit down bars, great for summer months to have a drink or two outside.
Booked a private room which was clean and basic.
Shower room was a decent size and had a powerful shower.
On site bar was cosy and had areas where you could just relax, with a separate area where you could work (laptops etc).
Close to main streets and canals.
Checking in and out was easy.
Only issue was, that the windows we had in our room (sizeable) couldnt be opened, also no ventilation either.
Great view but due to temperatures outside reaching 30°c, this made it some what stuffy in the night when trying to sleep, not unbearable but also not so comfortable either.

It is perfect for young people. The place was full of teenagers, or people below 25 or even less! It isn't quiet because of that. They were partying :). So for adults, only to stay one night or so. The location is terrific!

Great location ! We had a room overlooking the main square which was great for people watching. Only an 8 minute walk to the train station. Loved that they had laundry facilities on site. Room was good but shower had no curtain so the water kind of went every where. Great stay and would stay again if ever in Utrecht!

However, the lack of sufficient AC meant that a hot day was awful and was hard to sleep comfortably.

We had a lovely stay. It was lots of fun, the staff were all really friendly and had great service. Food was delicious. We had lots stolen from us in the luggage room so be careful lots of people have access and there are no security cameras. Security in our rooms was great though. Excellent facilities and great location.

I booked a double room with individual bathroom. It was basic but good enough. I was worried by possible noise and it was not the case, it was a good stay. Nice atmosphere at the lobby place and good service.

I liked the location of the property and the layout of the room. I disliked that the room wasn’t properly cleaned. When I was making my bed chocolate and a coin fell from the side of the mattress and there was also a sticky stain near one of the bunk beds. At one of the top bunk beds we found a dirty sock when we wanted to make the bed. This could have all been avoided if the domestics would do their work with love. The check in staff were extremely friendly and engaging :)

The stay was good, very friendly staff. The room was good, my only problem was that you cannot open any windows so the air was a bit stale during the heatwave we were having. Loved that you can hire a bike at the hostel. Would gladly stay there again but the price is a bit steep for a hostel room.

This was a fun hostel to stay at! A fantastic location in Utrecht - exactly where we wanted to be. The service was good, and the hostel had plenty of amenities.
Our one downside was that I didn't know we would need to bring our own towels. No towels in the room, not even hand towels. So no showers. Luckily we were only there for one night.
Overall I would stay again.
