Loved this place and great staff and location. Restaurant was very nice as well. Only. Complaint was TV did not work. I would stay there next time again

Very nice people and they arranged some nice tours. Tours were expensive but that is true anywhere in La Fortuna. Liked being downtown and not far away from city center so I could walk to many places including the church, cafes and restaurants. The tours they did set me up with were great, but be aware that the Volcano Hike in the combo tour doesn't take you to the National Park. People in the restaurant were great and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was quite small but great AC and was away from main road so very quiet. Saw a parrot on my balcony and the bed was comfortable.

Had a wonderful two night stay here last week. The staff was above and beyond, so courteous and kind, helpful and informative. This place is so cute and the breakfast was really good!! We had a room facing the church out in front and for it being right in the heart of downtown La Fortuna we didn’t find it too noisy. It was a perfect location for us next to so many restaurants and shops, pharmacy, etc. Also, when the sun is out from our balcony we had a great view of Arenal Volcano. The hot and cold knobs in our room were labeled wrong but not a big deal. Ac was great and beds were comfy. Definitely would stay again!

The WiFi worked intermittently in my section of the hotel.

Staff is excellent in helping any requests. I buy noisy if room is in front street side but quiets down later evening

People at the front desk were really nice and helpful and they had a delicious breakfast every morning. The room was okay, felt a bit dirty as there was mold all over the bathroom ceiling and mildew on the lamp shade. The bed was comfortable to sleep but would only recommend to book if you just want a central hotel to sleep and not lounge.

Will not recommend this hotel unless you are on a tight budget or all other nicer places are booked already. The hotel is crammed including the reception which cannot accommodate even 5-6 adults. The reception area as well as one of our rooms smelled of sewer. It wouldnt go away. Was nauseating. The bathrooms are tiny and water would collect in the shower everytime you took a shower. Unhygeinic!! I had to ask them to clean the shower area as housekeeping wouldnt clean the shower area everytime they came to set up the bed etc. i would not book this place again even if there were no options.

Staff were fantastic, from the front desk, to cleaning, to the restaurant. The rooms were adequate. Not a lot of options in terms of sitting in the room. We pulled the patio chairs in doors for seating. Location was central. Breakfasts were good.

They’ve done a really great job renovating the hotel. Our rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the morning breakfast delicious. Happy hour cocktails were a treat after our expeditions. Look for the sloths down the street in the greenbelt.

The hotel was okay overall. Food was amazing in the morning. Parking was very inconvenient as you have to take a remote to open a gate then walk back over to the hotel to turn it back in. We had to pay extra as the descriptions for the rooms were incorrect.

On our other trips to Fortuna we always stayed at one of the resorts on the way towards Arenal and taxi'd into Fortuna in the evenings for the bars and restaurants. This trip we changed it up and stayed right downtown. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Downtown hotel. The staff was great, we liked the unique rooms and being right in the middle of town surrounded by all the bars, restaurants and soda's you could ever want. We'd definitely stay here again. Perfect location and a nice place to stay.

Amazing staff! Restaurant and bar on site with nightly entertainment. Food was outstanding! It’s located in the middle of town and walkable to many restaurants. We were picked up for all excursions right at the hotel including the volcano, hot springs, zip lining, tubing.

Central to fortuna but very loud at night and walls are paper thin. Includes breakfast but we never got a chance to try it because we were running around most mornings

Very good and comfortable stay. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Prime location next to shops, bank, and most tours pick up from here. They can arrange shuttle or private transport for you to the airport, as well as book tours.

Marlon at the front desk was very nice and helpful. They give you a very tasty fruit drink at check-in. There is a trade off when you stay downtown. You get to watch the people and it’s convenient for eating and entertainment, but then you get traffic noise at night. Considering it’s right on a very very busy main street, the noise is probably what you should expect. Decent place and clean, but nothing fancy.

Great value

We had a great stay. The room was a little small, but overall it had everything we needed. The restaurant was fantastic. We ate dinner there once and breakfast daily.

The staff was incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful in booking excursions and supporting our needs as travellers. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Our only struggle was the shower didn't drain that effectively, so our bathroom would be wet and slippery after someone showed. The location is great and very accessible by your tour buses. All the pickups we're right out front.

The location is really good, close to everything. Our room was facing the main road and the noise level is very high until late at night and starts again around 5 am the next morning. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is prepared to your liking.

Amazing staffs. Super friendly and very welcoming. Most helpful in planning in our whole trips. “Jossemar” is a concierge extraordinaire. He planned all our transportations and tour to, from and while in la Fortuna. This hotel is very proactive on helping you to have the best experience possible with the least planning on your part. They did everything. And all experienced they booked for us are exceeding our expectations. Jossemar even help us on our other leg of the trip. The location is very central to supermarket. Stores even post office. The room is small but clean and cleaning crews are great! The small pool is perfect to chill and read a book. The server at the restaurants are great. Especially “Jaymar” he made sure that we get our breakfast before our 7:30an tour. Overall we are very pleased here. Would definitely come back again

Best possible location for our purpose of activity downtown and restaurants. Lacks elevator although only 3 stories. Will go back for another race/event in Fortuna

I had an excellent experience. Hotel has great location, service and accommodations.

Location was extremely convenient to everything. This nice and cute hotel provided transportation from the airport or any excursions. However, you must call and coordinate with the front desk or ask for Marlon. He was beyond attentive, helpful, informative, friendly, and definitely made my trip positively memorable. Their food was quite delicious, and especially their complimentary breakfast, was my favorite. Thank you for everything.
