Good location, nice staff. We had the beachfront villa which was very nice but at night the waves crashes on the concrete wall (that is between the ocean and the property) makes loud noise and shakes the ground.

Excellent stay at Ayara Villa. The nice front lady always gave me good recommendations on where I can find a good local food.

Excellent stay at Ayara Villas from swift, friendly check in to helpful staff. Nothing was too much effort for them. Clean rooms with plenty of towels, including pool beach towels. Hair dryer in room and toiletries. Kettle for hot drinks with sachets of coffee, creamer and tea bags. A bottle of water provided per person per day. Beer and soft drinks in fridge which were payable. Umbrellas provided for the frequent downpours!
Three hotel swimming pools which were very clean, with showering facilities and poolside loungers.
Buffet style breakfast with a choice of eggs different ways, bread/toast, croissants, bacon, fruit, cereal, thai dishes, pancakes. Plenty of choice. Good coffee.

Honest and welcoming… our beach side villa had just been refurbished to a high standard… the resort itself was a little tired but nothing that couldn’t be easily fixed… the staff were excellent the breakfast was a bit weak but again nothing that couldn’t be easily improved…

We stayed 17 nights in a spacious, spotlessly clean garden villa overlooking a pool (there are multiple pools) which was serviced daily by happy and friendly staff. Breakfast was great! We ate for an hour everyday overlooking the ocean and to the sound of crashing waves. Food is cooked to order as well as a buffet. All the food is delicious and all the staff are lovely.
Reception staff speak good English and kindly organised a motor bike for us at a good price.
Location is very good. On the beach, yes close to the tourist Bang Niang Night Market but better still is the Local Market open everyday from 2pm. This market sells delicious Local Thai food, fruit, vegetables and clothes. It is located behind Mini C and Tesco Lotus, near petrol station, about 3 km north from Ayara Villas.
Thankyou to all staff for a wonderful stay.

We always stay at the Ayara and once again they were amazing!!

I think I was lucky with my outward facing room, windows all around overlooking the jungle and hills and it was a big apartment too. It was quiet and I felt safe in all of Khoa Lak as a female on my own. All staff were friendly and I liked it was tucked away from the hussle but still walkable. Nice beaches near by. Food is ok for 3 star. Pools and beach were nice too and do close to a beautiful stretch of public beach.
The only thing i would say for guests is to show then where their room is on a map as i got lost at 1am on my first night trying to find my room in the dark jungle themed areas.

Very welcoming hotel and the staff are excellent.
We were given and upgraded room with pool access and the rooms are. Very good.
Hotel is in 3 sections, villas close to the beach, garden villas in an area between 2 quiet Soi's and 2 low rise blocks are the back which are fairly modern - each area has a good size pool
As expected the family block has mainly families in so the pool can get lively but the rest of the hotel is tranquil

Place is dated. Room was spacious overlooking a pool. The whole place felt dark...little sun reaching the property. Located 2 blocks from water in a residential neighborhood. The beach is a joke...30 meters of sand between 2 huge cement walls. There is a reason why you wont find a photo of the beach on their website. About 30 beach chairs for 200 guests..no chance if you show up after 9am. Breakfast was good. Booked 10 days but checked out after 2 once i found a proper beach resort. I am trying to upload a pic but Hotels.com won't me.

This was a nice clean walkable family friendly beach resort hotel where we stayed while getting scuba certified for a couple days elsewhere in Khaolak. Nice pools beach restaurant and massage place. Very clean and modern rooms. The included breakfast buffet was very good.

Typical 3 star accommodation. No restaurant in the hotel beyond breakfast. Breakfast was in average to other local restaurants.

Specially thanks to the nightportier. He is nice and very helpful if you need something.
We missed Da who is in the reception. She give so much energy and happiness.

Ayara Villas is laid back with a 10/10 level of service. Lots of outdoor seating options, pools, restaurants nearby. Quiet street. Rental scooter or hire a driver options, massage etc. After 14 days in Thailand we really loved our 4 nights here. Would recommend

The coffee, cake and fruit at 3.30 each day was quite unique. Unfortunately, this discontinued when it was low season, so could not take part in the last three days of my holiday.
I'm sure there were sufficient folks to make it worth while all the time.
The main town was quite a walk from the hotel, in very hot weather. They did go some way to overcoming this, in offering guests a chargeable shuttle one way and you make your own return.
All round the world where the geography disadvantages a hotel regarding the location to either beach or town, a free shuttle is always provided both ways, once on a morning and again on the evening. It overcomes all the negative comments of this lovely hotel being in a remote location.
The rooms were lovely and the three pools well maintained.
The restaurant was great, overlooked the sea, some training of staff may be needed, to ensure delivery of availability of food at advertised opening times.

The wifi at this hotel is excellent. Also, they have flat screen, smart tv's that you do not see in the pictures - makes it super easy to watch netflix. Also, the beach is very good and calm here. We preferred the beach that is a few hundred meters to the right of the hotel down the road as there is a long beach that was never busy although you had to pay 100 THB for each chair that included a cold bottle of water.
This hotel makes it worth it to come to Thailand.

Very good location, quite, but from the other side still in reach to supermarket and market.
4 days a week there is Bang Niang market to which on foot only 20 minutes walk. The same distance there is 7 eleven supermarket with competitive prices.
Beach is good due to sand in the entrance + there is possibility to walk long through Khuk khak beach (only 5 minutes from hotel).
Advantage is own sunbeds on the beach, so you can go lay for free
Restaurant was good, but breakfasts were delicious. Very good coince and wonderful as restaurant located on the beach, so you can move just from table to sunbeds not wasting time.
Stayed in standard triple room, very spacious + light.

Apart from the variety of foods of breakfast, this resort is excellent. It has two big and one small outdoor pools, great for leisure and families. Room is big and clean. Thumb up to the enthusiastic staff, especially the reception (I remember ones name is Tan). They offered perfect services like friends.

A nice hotel at the end of the road down from the market. A bit far but easy access to all restaurants. taxi's always down that way or if you had a scooter a short ride to the bars and restaurants. Stayed an extra day out of neccessity other wise i would not have. My only complaint is that nowhere on this site or on there website do they say there is construction. they are buidling another wing and one morning at 7:30am they were grinding away most mornings they were at it by 8am. hard to sleep in a relax with that. breakfast was minimal but adequate. little cared for beach and a few loungers to enjoy the sun.

We stayed at Ayara for 6 nights in a garden villa and had a lovely time. It was spacious, the bed comfortable, complimentary water, tea and coffee provided every day with deck chairs out the front for lazy afternoons. Also, it was quiet and set off the main road but still close enough that you could walk into town (about 10-15 minutes). The staff are super friendly and helpful - we initially had some issues with wifi and the very promptly brought a router to our room. Also, you can easily hire a scooter from reception for 200 baht per day, which is a great way to explore the area. Breakfast was included in the price and was okay - there were very limited options for the first few days we were there but that improved, perhaps when more people came to stay? One problem I did have was the tea and coffee consistently being luke warm. Nevertheless, the resort has great facilities including beach access, 2 pools and a gym with beautiful grounds and gardens. We would not hesitate to visit again in the future.
