We spent just one night here to break up the number of traveling hours on the road. Heading to the Keweenaw peninsula. This seems like an older motel but we were surprised at how clean the room was and how comfortable everything was. We had a room upstairs right over the office with a private balcony. That was a little difficult to keep going up and down to take our 2 dogs out. (No elevator) But it was very peaceful, the view of the bay was beautiful. Overall a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was a bit sparse for the over $200 price for a room. Only coffee, prepackaged cinnamon rolls yogurt and juice. But I guess it was enough to call it breakfast. Other rooms had kitchenettes but we didn’t need that. We did had a king bed a refrigerator and a microwave. Would definitely stay here again

The property did have a great location. It had beautiful sunsets over the bay and was close to picture rock and all it had to offer. The property stated it slept 8 and there were 7 of us so that was ok, but the table only had 5 chairs and the living room lacked seating for everyone also. Check in was 3pm and we arrived around 4 and the property had not been cleaned and while they did come and clean it we had to leave while they did so which was not convenient. I will be going to the area again but doubt that I would stay at the location again!

Don’t know how it received the ratings it received. While it’s a nice location on the water, our room had old, dirty carpet, mold around the bathtub and caulk that was dirty and missing. The room smelled - with a hint of Lysol to make it acceptable. Bathroom was tiny and had aged wood walls. Certainly not a fan and highly disappointed.

This was a nice little place on the water that was so quaint and peaceful. The property is older and a little dated but that adds to the character. The room we stayed in had two little bedrooms and living room area. IT was very comfortable and affordable.

Motel was very nostalgic. Dated but in a comfortable way. Having kitchen unit was a bonus & we used it a lot. People staying very friendly & gathered outside in evening for the amazing sunsets & conversation. Also, very convenient location to access miners fall, picture rocks & beaches

The view is fantastic. The motel is badly dated and in need of upgrades. Our shower had no water pressure - my wife could not wash her hair. The bed was older but still ok. We paid way too much - and I picked this as a bit higher priced thinking that wood indicate quality. This should've been priced similar to Motel 6 or Super 8.

Such a wonderful, clean place! We rented the 2 bedroom cabin and we loved it. Everything we needed was in there, and it was so well kept for an older place. What a gem of a find !

The view was great but the rooms needed remodeling, very old and not laid out very nice. The bathroom was beyond small. I don’t think I would stay here again.

The rooms were really dated, but the hotels workers were very friendly and accommodating for our late checking/ checkout. The room was spacious because we had two bedrooms and provided some space between us and our teenage kids. We did not eat there so I cannot comment on that. Room had a pretty view of the lake with picnic tables and grills.

The location is excellent on the bay of Lake Superior. Unfortunately the motel is psss it’s time. Need to knock down and start over in this beautiful location

👍Convienent to downtown and close to pictured rocks. Would stay there again. Office was very quick and accomondating 👎Parking for upstairs rooms. We were in the upstairs room and had to park half way down to the other end and carry our bags back. Second night, no parking spot at all. First spots should be designated for the upstairs rooms. Maybe all should be designated. Just a thought.

It is a great location, you can tell it is an older property, but clean and well kept. There was no sink plug.in the bathroom so I did have a fear of dropping a contact. Otherwise would highly recommend.

The hotel grounds and scenery were excellent. The staff was friendly. The shower never got more than luke warm, the shower curtain was covered with mold and mildew. The only room decor was two small mirrors above the bed, in the middle of the night the mirror above me fell and hit me on the head. I was ok, but the mirror was just sitting on the head board with some putty holding it in place. I should’ve demanded my money back because that could’ve ended differently if that glass in the frame had broke, but the young girl at the front desk didn’t deserve to be yelled at. If not for the nice staff and beautiful location, I would have left one star.

Wonderful stay for our short visit. Close to the Pictured Rocks Cruise and plenty of hiking to waterfalls!

Basic rooms but clean and quiet with great view of lake. Good spots to sit by the shore.

Rooms are dated and gave a musty smell. Shower was a mist (not a spray). Wonderful view of lake, but definitely not worth their price.
