Excellent location. Walking distance to historic district. Host was very hospitable. Great breakfast and specially cappuccino. Would definetly stay here again.

Totally renovated,with attached rear patio excellent place to stay the parking is on the street I was lucky to park at front door.

Quiet area with easy walking access to the sights of the Sassi.

Great stay! The location is great if you want to go into old town Matera. Only a few minutes walk. The room was clean, updated and good shower. AC was strong as well.

The host was amazing during our stay from checkin, to custom breakfast options, to cleanliness and everything in between. We were so impressed with the service at the B&B. The property was so close to the main Matera lookouts and tourist sites. The restaurants nearby were all very delicious too. Everything was within walking distance and it was a great stay for us. 10/10 would stay here again and recommend all our friends to stay here too! Amazing!

We enjoyed this property very much ! It was unique, very clean and all the comfort that you need ! Mariella was very attentive to all our needs . She was very gracious and gave us great advice on the restaurants nearby and tourists attractions. For breakfast, Mariella provide us with many choices. Breakfast was amazing , a variety of fruit, sweets and best of all cappuccinos , made to perfection! It was fabulous!! New, clean, nice shower. All new restoration. Very comfortable and neat. Good size room. Just a few steps from old town section. Excellent!! Mariella was wonderful .. We were very comfortable and happy there

In & Out Matera is in a great location with street parking available. The room we had was very nice with a barrel vaulted ceiling and a really fresh vibe, great bathroom and a lovely breakfast provided. Mariella was extremely solicitous using her translation app to communicate. She was very accommodating in letting us store our bags for a few hours after checkout. Our only problem was with the checkin process. The hotel isn’t staffed 24/7, which we knew and I had tried calling the number provided by Hotels.com but no one answered until we arrived on a wet, cold twilight. When I tried calling at that point, someone answered and I guess this had happened before because he gave me another phone number. And I reached Mariella. We had some communication issues due to language but I understood she was coming directly. She came us fast as she could and said she had tried repeatedly to reach me but the contact info from hotels.com was faulty somehow (strange since I use them quite a bit and this had never happened. I was cold and wet and cranky but her explanation and apologies smoothed everything out. There was some difficulty with the original booking going through so perhaps there was a glitch in the system.

Owner was kind and very helpful.Can't beat the location. 10min walk to sassi or downtown. Parking is free but on the street. Would not recommend bringing a big car.Would stay again and recommed anyone wanting to stay Matera.

Excellent, only complaint was parking a little tight. Tourist sights were close and easy to get to.

This recently established property was perfect for our time in Matera. The couple who own it could not be more accommodating. They are the loveliest of people! We wish them all the best and if we ever find our way back to wonderful Matera, we will book a stay at In & Out.

Needs better street signage to help find it!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay and our hosts Giuseppe and Mariella looked after us like family. They were very friendly, helpful and informative. We had free parking right outside the front door. The property was immaculate, spotlessly clean, our room was spacious. The property had been refurbished and opened 2 months ago. Breakfast had a large variety of local fresh produce with Giuseppe always on hand to make teas and coffees! The large walled courtyard is being upgraded so that guests can eat breakfast outside which is why it is called "In & out" The location is in a quiet street but barely 5 minutes walk from the main Piazza. The Sassi district only 10 minutes walk away so perfect for sightseeing. It was a pleasure talking with them even though our Italian was non existent Giuseppe speaks a little English and was very patient, recommending restaurants etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending In&Out and will definitely stay here again ourselves.
