Overall the stay was great. Parking was a little tight but I do drive a large truck. I did notice charging station available for those that drive EV's. The room was clean and comfortable. Small kitchenette was available, coffee and tea. Stocked with a lot of extras- slippers, masks, ear plugs, tooth brush, and the bathroom vents worked and shower drained just fine. The ac and heater worked in tandem to keep the room the perfect temperature. A/C was a little loud and the roof was hit with falling pine needles from the wind blowing which was a little disturbing. Walls are thin!!! But all in all great stay close walk to Harrah's and food spots.

Very nice, Clean, good coffee, heater worked well kept us warm, Hot water for shower was great, Kitchenette was nice and useful. One improvement suggestion....a bit softer of a mattress

the weather was hot and airconditioning was not working. We ended up going home that day as it was terrible. I hope they give us a refund.

We stayed for the week of July 4 at the South Lake Chalet. Our unit was the queen bed unit. The room was nice and clean, had everything we needed. A/C was very important for us as it warms up during the day and we like our bedroom to be nice and cool. If you are carrying lots of luggage, cooler, beach chairs and other things book a bigger room as this unit is good for two people and A couple luggage only.We had an assigned parking space which was very helpful. The hotel only has 12 units and each unit has assigned parking. It makes it easy to load and unload things from our car as well. Hotel is located 5 min walk from the Heavenly area where you can find different stores and restaurants. It’s also walking distance to other places such as Bijou Park and Dorado beach ( very small beach) if you enjoy a 25-30min walk from the hotel. Looking forward to our next stay!

The bed needs replacement as it is high at the pillows and low at the toes.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The space was limited and smaller than it looked in photos but still, it was good enough for two people. We will definitely come back next time we visit Tahoe again!

Love this place! It look just like the photos, very clean and it’s a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is mainly to reheat and store food, not suitable for cooking. Walkable to Heavenly Ski Resort area for food and shops.

The hotel is situated in a secluded part but close enough to the stateline. My wife and I stayed for only 1 night but we loved the amenities within the room, and quaintness of the property. The best thing is that communication is extremely fast with the property representatives, and you have keyless/cordless access to the units.

Great location and very cute.
We couldn’t get the heat to work on our last morning. Never could get the fireplace to work. Beds were very comfortable and a cozy room although small. We did throughly enjoy our stay. Would stay again.

Really nice location for a visit to Lake Tahoe, really close to lakeside beach which is definitely worth a visit. Driving distance to stores and restaurants. Overall a great stay and would come back in the future!

I travel a lot for work and stay in many new hotels throughout California and Nevada. It’s rare that I choose to stay in the same hotel when I return to the same location. Most hotels are not exceptional at the $200 or under range required by my companies expense guidelines.
South Lake Chalet is walking distance to the Casinos and so much more. As you drive up, you get a motel vibe but luxury on the inside. Easy parking and easy access to your room. There is great attention to detail - the little things matter. Most importantly, the beds are a very comfortable. There has been only one hotel I visit repeatedly. South Lake Chalet will be the second.

Everything was perfect. Communication was great. Room is clean and they thought of everything you might need and enough of it so you really don't need to ask for more of anything. Walking distance to everything.

The location is great! Easily walkable to the Heavenly gondola. The room smelled a bit musty and moldy. It seemed to be coming from the heater.

The quality of this room for this price is unbelievable. The room was beautiful, very clean, and comfortable. We were never cold. It's a perfect spot to sleep and then go enjoy the town/slopes! So many amenities came with the room as well. The fireplace lights up on its own and can be a little bright at night but that's what the sleep masks are for! Lovely experience, highly recommend to anyone staying in Tahoe.

Beautiful space. Very cozy. Nice large bathroom and shower. Tastefully decorated. Very close to everything and walkable (gondola, restaurants, shops, casinos) really enjoyed this stay and would definitely recommend!

It was a decent place to sleep that was conveniently located in walking distance to heavenly village. Only complaint is there was a lot of dust on the base boards and under the bed. My sons are very allergic and made for an uncomfortable sleep.

Didn’t like the keyless entry system or lack of cable or satellite television. Room was otherwise very comfortable and clean. They should have tea in their selection of coffees because not everyone drinks coffee

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL STAY . Im a contractor and have stayed in about 4-5 different lodges or Inns similar to this property. I have been disappointed with all of them but don't complain because I can't expect much for pricing under $100 night.
But I found this Stay for my last week working at Stateline and was so Impressed with how well the roooms are put together. And holy crap the beds are insanely comfortable! Great kitchenettes too! Lastly, the customer service is TOP NOTCH! Took care of our needs instantly! I'll absolutely stay here over any casino any day!

The newly remodeled hotel was very nice and modern. It is close to downtown South Lake Tahoe and all the Casinos. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had no issues during our stay.
