Great staff! The roof top bar is legit! Pool, PingPong, and TVs.

Bed was awful. Like trying to sleep in crunchy taco shells. A/c was freezing. Remote maybe broken, couldn’t regulate. Cute boutique hotel, cute bar, love the bees theme. Worst bed of the week.

All in general was a great stay

One of the most affordable hotels in the area, good option if you don’t need luxury but want safe and comfortable room. Friendly service and spacious rooftop with 2 small pools. Location is good close to the Alterna bus station and walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches. One thing I didn’t like is the very simple lock in the room door and no latch inside for more security. Locks NEED to be better in a hotel!

The hotel staff was excellant! The housekeepers were exceptional! All you need is within walking distence including an ATM. The resturant and bar pictured is exactly how it looks, along with a great pool table. The staff in the resturant was very friendly and the food was very good. The maintenence man was always busy working to keep the place in great condition, impressive! I would return and not even look at another property!

Very good value. Staff are all super nice and accommodating. Quiet and Close to supermarkets and restaurants. No fridge in the room. Have to ask for hair dryer. Toilet has a locking door but shower is not in a closed room so depending on who you are travelling with this may pose a problem.

They charge extra for everything. Not even a glass in the room for the toothbrush. Water pressure in the shower was weak and WiFi spotty. An okay Hotel of you dont plan to spendera time there but would say very low standard and okay at most. Bed was comfy but pillows way to thick for us and no possibility to change.

Relatively Quiet as compared to the properties near the beach. It’s dated but for C$80 it’s good value.Restaurant was nice ,Tuna( not from can) burritos were filling. Near Ado bus stop and Mega centre.

The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooftop area was nice to relax, the swimming pool is just to dip in and cool off. The actual rooms were a 2 out of 10. I would relate them to being like a run down Motel 6 or Super 8 in comparison. The room was dark, not clean, nothing other than a bed and toilet. There is no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker or anything. It is bare, bare bones. There was only a push button lock, so if you are travelling by yourself, I did not feel very safe. I booked for 16 days but left after 9 as I just could not tolerate sleeping with one eye open and a chair against my door. It felt like living in a jail cell. I asked for a portion of my money back with no luck. If you are looking for bare bones, this is the place for you. If you are looking for any kind of amenities look elsewhere.

12 Bees is a good hotel centrally located in PDC. The service is very good. It is clean and comfortable. Then staff is professional and always helps. Mega Soriana and Walmart nearby

Ok here is my review of yhe property only and does not include the bar as it is a separate company operating it. Check in was simple, location is perfect! Everything is walkable. 2 min to 2 grocery stores, bank, restaurant, and taco street vendors everywhere. 5th ave (main boardwalk) is about 10 min easy walk, the beach is about 14 min walk, walmart is 5 min walk. Location was quiet, safe and comfortable. The roof top patio is excellent. We had it to ourselves most of the time, not aure why? With 2 pools and loungers it is the ideal place to sunbathe, have a cigar and drink and grab a bite. So why 4 atars and not 5? What would have made my stay more convenient is if there was a mini fridge in the room so I could have purchased some food to keep in it plus the mandatory beer! We overcame the beer problem by purchasing a cooler bag and filing it with ice but didnt trust leaving yoghurt and such in it. The clean sheets had stains on them and the towels were so worn out that there were aee thru holes in them. I would stay at this location again now that I am prepared and understand what is in the area..

We liked it it felt safe and convenient. Good wifi for my studies.

We got a twin bed and a full size bed to be shared by 3 adults for 2 nights. It is walking distance to the Walmart where we bought souvenirs. It is walking distance to the ADO bus station that can take you back to the Cancun Airport or vice versa. The hotel is also walking distance to many restaurants or places to eat. It was very clean and they have an elevator that works well. I was sharing the room with my parents so the shower issue was not a big deal. The shower was between the room and the bathroom and although it had a door it was see through and family can watch you shower if they walk down the tiny hall to use the bathroom. We arrived early so they allowed our luggage to stay in a room they have for that. We ate at their top floor patio area and the foods was good. However, the salmon was a bit raw still and they did not give us a discount. There were signs all over saying that guest get a discount and we failed to say anything and they didn't ask us anything either. It was a very hot day and before we paid we realized they had indoor searing, we would have preferred that so next time we will. The Hotel is further from the ADO turista station; however the Playa de Los Fundadores is a must if going to Playa Del Carmen. Our trip primarily was to visit Xcaret. To my surprise the ADO bus took us to Xcaret from the ADO turistica. It was a great trip and I can see mysef staying at this place in the near future.

Clean and pacefull

Great location and very quiet. The rooftop patio/restaurant is a great place to start your morning. During my 5 day stay I had breakfast and lunch there and both meals were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The A/C in my room stopped working one night and I was quickly relocated to a different room for the night. Next time I'm in playa I will certainly stay here again.

Nice restaurant, clean, beautiful restaurant on rooftop with wonderful cappuccino's and the food is very good. Staff are very accommodating and nice.

Reviews of property did not match actual property. Very unclean. No toilet paper and stale urine in toilet upon entering room.

An absolutely the most horrible hotel experience I've ever had. This is really the nastiest Hotel I've ever been in. Flooring: Covered with unfinished tile. Chalk showing everywhere. Cracks showing all over. Shower: I was just not about to get in the shower. The handles were nasty, untouchable. The flooring had scratch marks all over. Just looked filty. Hallway: Tile coming out of the wall.

Excellent. Only wished the window opened. Felt a little claustrophobia at first. Choice of music on the terrace is simetimes to much to aggressive. Most of the time loung ambuance perfect. Quiet area and super clean.
