Definitely enjoyed our stay here. Hope to return. Will recommend.

This property is not in an acceptable or safe state for travelling public to overnight. The owners ought to be very clear about this. The staff person did their best and offered refund. Likely has not city approvalThed

If you have other options for hotels then don’t pick this. We’re not fancy and knew this was a budget motel. It was also the last room available in Penticton. However… they are in the midst of renovations and the facility is not up to par. The renovations, upon closer inspection in the rooms look like a handyman special at best. The rooms smell like ethnic food. There is old dirty furniture in the room that smell like cigarettes. Painters tape still on fixtures. The exterior stairs to the upper level are super sketchy. The (old) pool is completely gravelled over so don’t let the photos deceive you that there is a pool available. The lobby reception is newly drywalled and torn apart so there is just one tiny desk to the right as you check in. As we were departing we noticed a stop work order posted outside. Not surprised. All in all it was okay but way over priced for what it is. This place should be under $100 until it’s brought up to reasonable accommodation standards.

Price, was way too high for this place

Property was under construction. That was okay but things were miss represented on the web page and he responded that it takes a while to update the info, the pool was filled in with gravel, clutter in parking lot, stair rails up to second floor were held in place with plastic zip straps. The room was not ready to be rented. The motel attendant walk to the room ahead of us, in the attemp to get the TV working, he could not, he left saying he'll be back, i plugged in the HDMI cable and it worked. Then I continued into the rest of the room and the bathroom,and found the toilet seat broken and falling off. I went to the front desk to tell him, and he responded yup they know about it. I returned to the room to continue the review of the room and I found dirt in corners of the tub and wall, body fluid stains on the bed duve cover, and the bed sheets with dirt stains. I was gutting and I asked to cancel and get a refund. I had to call Expedia, then they had to call the motel while I was on hold, in order to complete the refund. Expedia completed the refund quickly and professionally. The motel was a disappointing, but the fornt desk clerk was pleasant and respectful.

Ok so we were hesitant about staying here cause of the reviews but regardless about what anyone says it's CLEAN. The rooms are comfy clean that's all that matters. Been to penticton many times before stayed at other mother pricer hotels but booked this last min. And not disappointed. Yes there Reno's going on yes maybe not downtown ok maybe the railings are getting replaced but clean and quiet. So no complaints.

The motel is under construction. The room I had smelled really bad. Like a mold smell. They didn’t turn down the room. They said they don’t do it everyday. There is no pool. It’s filled with dirt. The bed was comfortable and a good size although outdated. They had a small kitchen which is nice. The location is good. Close to stores and restaurants. The price was ok. The check in person was friendly.

The hotel was going through renovation but was never mentioned during booking time. Overall, it was so disruptive and inconvenient to stay in hotel. Sofa seemed older than the hotel itself. All smokers hung around the area and place looked so run down. TV didn’t work, bed sheets looked so old and unappealing. I won’t even recommend for anyone to stay here In desperation and sleep in a car instead. There were Silverfish bugs running around along with cigarette butts scattered everywhere. Rooms (booked 2 rooms) had pungent smell. It was late for me to find anything else for the night.

It’s a dive. Fully under construction, poor quality ‘updated’ rooms, very smelly. Not clean. TV didn’t work. I didn’t remove my shoes. Only bonus, a/c in the unit and sheets appeared clean enough for one night stay.

Zero warning when booking that they were undergoing renovation. The property itself was atrocious, renovation debris everywhere, garbage, cigarette butts all over the parking lot and walkways, hazards like uneven plywood walkways and unsafe walkway railings. Pool was filled in which was also not warned about anywhere. Room was sleepable for the one night, bed was fine. Housekeeping needs to learn to clean mirrors and bathtubs properly, shower curtain was obviously stained. Bathroom appear to be refloored but poorly finished with paint splatters on them. Smelled like cigarettes too but I'm not suprised with the amount of butts dropped outside. Location is decent with walkability to necessitites. Overall for a Whyndam property, even a Super 8, I expected a bit more decency for the $204 spent. If you're going to stay open during renos, keep it clean and hazard free for guests!!!

Outdoor pool advertised but updates not provided, three facilities surrounding had pools. This one was full of gravel. Building under construction, picked a screw up in the parking lot. Glad I didn’t get it in the tire. Room Blinds didn’t block light well, early risers required.

Room had been renovated so looked okay, but upon closer inspection the bedding was dirty and worn, the shower still had hair on the tiles, the towels weren't clean. They did come and replace the sheets but they are really old and worn. The outside steps to the second level were not level. Do not recommend this place at all.

Suite had a very musty odour and the view from bedroom window was looking at dirty clothing left outside on roof right beside motel. Linens were not changed and neither was bed. Lots of construction happening and didn’t know if motel was being taken down or being repaired. Also had to pay an extra 30.00 for my small dog and I used her own bed for her because of the state of furniture and odours. I should not have had to pay that because of the condition.

Wow! Where to start…. Online said there was free breakfast, there is no where to eat! It said the pool would be down for a day- mean while the pool is back filled with dirt. There is no pool! The entire place is under construction. Not to mention the first room we were in was so so dirty…. Hairs everywhere, not on the shower curtain, paint on floor just gross. Then the second room was slightly cleaner but when address to the person up front they say “ would you like a clean room?” I’m sorry did I book for a dirty one ? Not to mention upon check out says, I will let the manager know. I think this has tainted me for all super 8s. Way to go management!

This place is awful.

I liked absolutely Nothing about this property! It should be closed! Dirty, locals living there, who party and fight all night long! Was the worst experience ever!!

Staff, nice and provided all help that I needed. Property, old, currently under new management and under renovation. Bathrooms nicely renovated. Rooms acceptable. Furniture old and should be removed asap. Small deficiences fixed, as missing light bulbs, missing small table in the room. The major miss was on my side. I didn't check the location of property and it is far from both beaches, not a walking distance! My miss.

Renovating but staff is good

Not what I expected at all. Pool had been filled in. Major renovations in progress. No ground level rooms available.

Ill mainted room. The fridge was stinking and not working. Smelled like something died in there. The TV was not working as well. Tried taking a shower but the bath tub drain was choked and filled up the tub. Horrible experience and will not recommend this place to anyone.

I walked into the room an the couch is stained, there’s hairs in the tub, and the shower curtain looks like it was soaked in piss, the window screen was slashed open, the whole room just felt sticky and gross. I’d care less if it was 40$ a night but for 80$ a night and 100$ deposit one would hope for a cleaned room. Staff was friendly best thing I can say about the experience.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever seen. So dirty, mattresses laying up against the wall (?? Apparently this is normal) and while we were trying to get our money back, some lady who lives there took her dogs out to come poop super close to our car.

This property is shabby, rundown & felt unsafe. Will never stay there again & advise travellers to steer clear of it.

Sketchy check in, tried to double charge me. Dirty, uncomfortable room. I took off and stayed at a different hotel for the night

I am surprised that Windham has put their stamp on this hotel. We had a king bed in our room with no sheets. They used a duvet cover as a bottom sheet. When we asked for sheets on our bed we were told they do not havd king size sheets. The coffe maker was missing the basket to make coffee and we were told they didn't have any baskets. We attended the office for ice and were given a 7 oz cup of ice. The pool was not open and appeared to have not been used for years. Empty with sanding equipment, etc. I it. The staiway and outside access to the rooms was filthy! This is absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and if we had been able to find another hotel we would have left!
