Das Cottage wurde liebevoll restauriert und befindet sich in einem etwa 2,5 Hektar großen Grundstück mit Gemeinschaftsgärten und Paddocks. Somit ist es die perfekte Unterkunft, um ins Land zu flüchten. Mit seiner exzellenten Lage ist es einfach, North Devon und darüber hinaus von der Higher Mullacott Farm aus zu erkunden. Stsyed here with my extended family and had the best time. The kitchen/lounge spaced worked really well for us as we were able to keep an eye on the little ones whilst we cooked etc. The kitchen was really well stocked with all the equipment you could possibly need. The outside space was beautiful and very peaceful. The kids loved running around the play area, it provided lots of entertainment. Location was great, short drive to both Ilfracombe and Woolacombe and quick drive to a big shop.

A multi generational holiday at Dollys Barn was well provided for.

We enjoyed our stay at the farm which was partly because we had such lovely weather.
The facilities were generally good but we felt that supplying enough toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets for the stay would have cost nothing and been a blessing!
Also part of the the children's play equipment was broken when we arrived ( the little child swing) and should have been checked as it could have potentially been dangerous.
On the whole though our stay at Dolly's Barn was a good one.

Have just returned from weeks Holiday to Dollies Barn with 11 members of the family of all ages, the grandchildren have enjoyed the freedom of the gardens which were beautifully kept. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, even everything we needed for BBQ, thoroughly enjoyable Holiday.

The cottage was suitable for 12 people. Especially, kitchen, eating and living were big enough for this number of persons. The kitchen and the equipment were brandnew and perfectly clean. The house is located perfectly for day trips to beaches and other sights/activities. We will be back!

Lovely property ideal for a family break away, and ideal location with town centre and beaches only a short drive away. Great play area for the children. House had everything you needed to cook/prepare family meals and all utensils were of a high quality. Would have no hesitation in booking a repeat visit.

We were a group of 4 couples with kids, it was such a great long weekend at Dolly's barn, the cottage was so well fitted, comfy, clean and characterful, we loved it. The garden and grounds were great, we'd love to come back.

Amazing property - ideal for our family of six adults and two toddlers. Very welcome cream tea on arrival - thank you so much for that lovely touch. House had absolutely everything you could need for a family holiday. Lovely idea to have the boards and buckets and spades to borrow too. Our only disappointment was the weather which decided to be very wet while we were there so we didn’t make the most of the play area and BBQ . Very comfortable beds too with good quality linen. Great
Lovely old cottage located within a few minutes drive of Ilfracome harbour. The gardens are fabulous with so much for the kids to explore, it gave them a real sense of freedom and was priceless.
The facilities are very good and almost everything you need for a great holiday is provided
One bedroom however was basically un-useable as it had a very high skylight window with no blinds.
Also be warned if you have an infant, the cot is a travel cot with only the hard base, you'll need to take a mattress as there isn't one provided.
The outside space can be a bit difficult if one of your party is elderly or has a disability as the cobbles are obviously very old and uneven.
We did have a wonderful week though and would definitely recommend this place.

Not as nice as the pictures
In a nice location and at first glance looks very nice, we rented 2 cottages, aggies and dollys. There were 15 of us with quite a bit of rubbish, we used the recycling like they asked but the bin was just overflowing, other rubbish had to go into 1 dustbin which was shared between us and another cottage, so 25 people in all, after the people in the other cottage left on the friday that bin was overflowing with their rubbish, we had nowhere to put ours when we cleared up. I found this quite disgusting. You also have to be wary of the owners cat, it sneaked in every time the door was opened and would lie on beds and furniture, we actually found cat hairs in the kitchen. The only good thing about it is the location, cant fault that

Perfectly located, plenty of space inside and out. Well equipped kitchen area. Clean comfy beds. Big squishy sofas which are great for the youngsters, there was one firmer chair...could have done with another (for the older members of our party). Altogether a great holiday cottage with plenty of character.

The Family Holiday at Dolly's Barn
My family had a wonderful time during our recent stay at Dolly's Barn. It was clean, tidy and loads of room for 10 of us without getting under each others feet. It was well equipped inside and out & the grandchildren had plenty to do outside with loads of space to run around and play football etc. The table tennis table was a hit with the adults and children alike.
Higher Mullacott Farm is ideally situated for all of North Devon's attractions with Barnstaple, Croyde and Ilfracombe all within easy reach.
We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

An excellent short stay
An easy to find location with ample parking. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The interior was fitted out to a good standard. Good sized rooms and bathrooms making the most of all available space. The outside seating area was very useful especially the BBQ.
Plenty of footpaths and wonderful scenery on the doorstep. Only one downside, a few more saucepans would be great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful barn full of character, with all the modern items you need.
We chose Dollys Barn on a whim for 3 families to get away for some much needed R&R and it’s was the right choice for all of us. The barn is a conversion done to a very good standard comfortably sleeping 11 adults. Although it maintains its oldie world character and features there are also enough modern touches for all (smart tvs, Wi-Fi etc.) to not get bored. The kitchen and dining areas are charming in the country style but also practical to cook and eat in for, in our case, 9 people. The lounge area is comfortable and lends itself well to late night conversations or just for curling up and watching tv. There is a playground within the gardens that occupied our 4 & 5 year old perfectly well. All in all we wanted for nothing as far as amenities went. Cleanliness was second to none and in these days of covid concerns it was nice to see all precautions were taken to protect everyone staying. All in all I can’t recommend Dollys Barn highly enough and we are already discussing dates for our return visit.

Lovely accommodation with lots of facilites for children
Dolly's Barn was a lovely place to stay, the beds were very comfortable, accommodation was very clean, there were lots of facilities outside for the children, a park, ping pong table, basketball and lots of space to run around. Would really recommend this place as close to both Woollacombe and Croyde beaches and was a really lovely place to stay. Thankyou!

Items in the beach hut were good and useful for taking to the beach - a good thought by the owners.

A lovely week
We had a lovely week at Dolly’s barn with our family. Everything was spotlessly clean on arrival and the house was well equipped - we had everything we needed. The gardens are extensive and beautiful with a great play area which worked so well for the children. It is in an ideal location for beaches and coast walks.

We had an excellent stay in dolly’s barn, beautiful house and grounds. Location on busy road so would be unsuitable to walk or cycle anywhere nearby.
Owners of the house on site who were very friendly and welcoming.
The grounds for children are fantastic.
My favourite cottages a third party agent who we booked through weren’t the most helpful and I felt like a burden if I had any questions so wouldn’t recommend using them. Go direct if you can.

A charming Barn set in idyllic grounds
A beautifully presented property set in exceptional grounds. Very peaceful location.
The barn was well equipped and comfortable. Would highly recommend to families wanting to get away from it all and still have great access to the many beautiful areas of north Devon.
Extra touches - cream tea on arrival and the personal welcome was appreciated.
The only tips for improving the stay would be minor.
The small freezer seemed to struggle keeping ice cream frozen and ice packs.
We had difficulty with a couple of internal doors, this comes with an older property but for parties with younger children this could be more of a concern. The owner was more than helpful and always available to answer our queries.
Overall a fabulous property which we would highly recommend to families young and old.
