impressed by the welcome (ANNA) and the halloween decorations. Entrance , reception and restaurant all very inviting. Room was good, door a little iffy, a few bits of bathroom a little tired but new shower v good and additional heater got very warm I had to turn off. I'd stay again . Anna also found my membership number and sorted all that out for me - brilliant.

First room we had was fine, clean and seemed reasonable but the shower room wouldn’t drain and essentially flooded the shower room. Spoke to reception who said they were having issues and moved us straight away, no issues and nice about it all. The second room had a bathroom so no flooding issues but desperately needed an upgrade. The carpet had doormat over near the window to cover up a previous leak or stain, the window was clearly broken and had been desperately siliconed to an inch of its life but was still draughty, the wall paper was peeling and in the bathroom the previous toilet roll holder had been ripped off the wall and just exposed plaster and a hole left to view. The food however was lovely and an excellent menu. We had breakfast twice and dinner on our first night. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Just maybe bad luck our room was needing a make over.

Very mixed experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Bar and restaurant have a good selection and breakfast good value. Condition of bedroom poor. Clearly some effort has been made to refurbish (e.g shower) but much more needed and really showed its age with stains throughout carpet, torn and peeling wallpaper, unrepaired water damage in bathroom and cracked washbasin. Also heating via portable electric radiator. For the price, Holiday Inn really needs to invest in refurbishing the bedrooms to the standard expected of their brand,

The hotel was clean, workers all very friendly , I had breakfast it was very good, the room was clean, but the carpet was stained and that was my only concern. The corridors very light and bright. I enjoyed my stay and would come back.

Hotel was quiet and clean - staff were friendly and always smiled and acknowledged you whenever you went past.
Love the aircon - makes a big difference to me.
A couple of suggestions - instructions for TV i.e. it was difficult to just find normal TV channels
A room service menue with prices. There was a card for breakfast in your room but no prices
The QR code for room service only displays snacks and... 3 other items

The staff were very friendly in all areas. Check in went smoothly even though it was done by the duty bar person as the receptionist was on a break. The bar person admitted that he didn't know where everything was but I got my key to access the room

The staff made the weekend the best. We stayed here to attend the British Grand Prix and was welcomed to the property with chocolate racing cars, formula 1 decorations and friendliness! Great place to stay for the British Grand Prix!

Room next to stairway & fire exit, shocking a s large rock used to keep door open and giving access into the hotel. Door bangs against the rock and woken up at 5am by people coming and going, not happy as a fire door being used as a way of entering & existing the hotel.

Exec room bed way way better than the std queen which has a cheap feeling mattress . Only downside for this room is tgd size of it for the tv it’s way to small and the angles are wrong plus the inability to use the apps on the tv like you tube is very poor . Lovely staff though reception and breakfast oh breakfast is great way better than the Marriott at the next junction
Highly Recommend the king size exac room cannot sadly recommend the std as the mattress is just not supportive and feels cheap . Oh and please put a glass in the exec room to drink the cola in the fridge we don’t all want to drink from a can :-)

Overall pleased. Rooms well equipped, beds comfy, bar area nice. Had an issue with the reservation on checking in which delayed us having access to our room. Following morning Manager apologised and offered us a free breakfast. Very good customer service!

Was a lovely place central to where we needed to be, and the addition of all the bunnies on the grounds was a delight to my kids who kept trying to see if there was any when ever we went out.

Stayed in suite king bed. Room was fine but it was near the lifts which unfortunately sounded a little bit someone with a hammer drill down the corridor......all night. Certainly wouldn't choose again. Apparently i wasn't the first guest to complain about this so why its not been sorted i don't know.
