Great hotel and we appreciated even more because we were traveling with our dog and this hotel is very welcoming of your pet. Good location, we could walk everywhere. Very clean.

The hotel’s location is perfect. Walking distance to main attractions. The room is very spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast and wine-and-cheese are also quite good.

This hotel is awesome! There is a welcome sign for pets and friendly welcoming staff. Our room is huge with a living room and large bedroom. From 5-6 there is a lovely happy hour with wine, lemonade and a selection of cheeses and crackers. There is a microwave and fridge in the room.
A pack and play was delivered and set up for us.
The staff went above and beyond to help me with a mistake I made as well, and that was super appreciated.

This was a great place to stay as we went to Monterey Bay Aquarium and we were able to walk. By far the part that made our stay outstanding was the service and quality of the breakfast. Thanks to the servers and women that worked there and helped with a smile.

I highly recommend staying here when visiting Monterey. Loved our room with the fireplace and wood beamed vaulted ceiling. Also had a balcony. Beds were very comfy, and we had 2 sinks in the bathroom!! Easy half mile walk to the aquarium and shops. The wine hour and breakfast were added treats. Instead of charging extra for parking, I recommend the hotel add that cost to the overall room charge. Since we were staying there mid-week in the off season, our room cost was very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Monterey.

Overall, a good experience. Room needed some renovation but overall, a good stay. Great breakfast, and great location. My family and i walked everywhere. The aquarium, sardine factory, and the ocean. :)

We had a good experience without any issues. The front desk was very friendly and genuinely warm. The room was nice, and we liked the push button fireplace; it was so easy to use. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. The location was somewhat near Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium; however, if you have problems walking, you may want to stay closer to these attractions. Monterey Pier is a short drive. Breakfast each morning was okay. They offered make-your-own waffles, pre-made omelets, limited fruit varieties, ceareals, bagels, various juices, and coffee.

Booked three rooms, spacious, all have bay windows with sitting area, cozy fireplace, clean and comfortable. Garage parking $20 with elevator, ramp access, perfect for my elderly fam. Complementary evening wine and cheese elevates the experience and a hot breakfast is wonderful! The staff are very helpful and accommodating, advised us of other parking options. Property is walking distance to cannery and a short drive to the wharf.

The parking was an extra charge, cut convenient. It was within walking distance of Cannery Row and the Aquarium. We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfy. The staff was very friendly and enjoyed the happy hour.

Convenient location. Nice old hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Walls are a bit thin so there was a lot of noise from the room above and the hallway. Parking was convenient. There was not any air conditioning! The gas fireplace was a very nice touch.

Location is excellent. But the room was really hot and stuffy with a musty smell. When asked was told there is no ac. Decided to not stay the night and be uncomfortable so returned home early. Would not stay here again

There was an old smell within the building but that is expected of an old property. The dining area is quite narrow and the leather sofa against the wall was worn out with tears.Due to the limited space, people keep bumping into my shoulder as they pass by to get their breakfast. The room I booked smelled and the tissue box was filled with what seems like tissues stuffed in. This makes me question the whether housekeeping refilled it with clean tissue or not. The lighting in the shower room was dim.
The Victorian style decor of the whole building was quite good. The front desk staff were very nice and their services were good. The breakfast was light and standard as any other hotels. I loved their raspberry yogurt. I also love the look of the room I booked. It was a standard. The location of the property is very good and made it convenient for me to walk to other places.

Lots of positives about this inn - location, price, breakfast included, afternoon cheese and wine, friendly staff, easy parking. The rooms are dated but actually not in too bad condition. Felt it was let down by the really dirty curtains - these really need replaced.

Clean room but very dated, decor was old and sofa bed they provided was extremely uncomfortable. Staff helped by bringing up a rollaway. Free breakfast was better than most with omelettes available too.

The inn was very nice the room was spatious and gorgeous , the only complaint I had was the room was extremely hot we managed by opening the patio door. The staff was nice and helpful I would definitely stay here again.
