How the mighty have fallen. I sat in my car for 20 minutes in the queue for valet which was $50 a night. I didn't mind the very expensive appetizers and drinks, but a hotel of this caliber still charging for Internet is ridiculous. Everywhere you turn there were fees. I suspect they're going to start charging for elevator trips. The service staff was great, but clearly overworked. They needed to increase their staff by a third. And Sunday morning at 8 AM I had housekeeping knocking and coming in and then ringing my phone trying to get me out. I did and won't go back.

Bathroom was underwhelming. Our bed was comfortable but the comforter was “short sheeted.” We would prefer a proper duvet cover, not just a sheet over a comforter.

The place is average. The property is older but still kept decent. The reason for 3-stars was the low water pressure. We could not enjoy a shower. Tried calling for room service several times for food and got no answer. Other than that the place was okay. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and were given 2 drink coupons to the bar. The bar was a nice setup and loved that it stayed open til midnight. No complaints with checkin or valet

Overall things were good. But there were no kleenex in the dispenser, there was very little hot water, and no microwave or fridge for personal items. All the staff members we very helpful and very nice. The food in the restaurant bar area was very good. The people that parked our car were awesome. Very polite and extremely efficient in their duties.

Well the overall stay was ok. The toilet in our room was running water from under the seal. We used our towels to stop the water from running across the floor. In a text message I was asked how was our stay, I then reported the situation. It was immediately taken care of however they ran into another problem. So therefore we had to move to another room that was supposed to be the same room as the previous however it was much smaller. Because we had to move rooms we were supposedly credited $50 for parking but that didn’t take place. The hotel was extra busy and I don’t think we’ll ever stay again. Again, the stay was ok.

This is at best a 3-star property-needs major attention and upgrade to common areas, elevators and the rooms. It was beat down and it showed. There was a new shower head in the antiquated circa 1980’s bathtub but that was the only ‘new’ thing. The lobby bar is nothing special with overpriced drinks. There was a large terrace garden next to the pool where it looks like they keep bees. However this also needed attention, the poor plants were in serious need of water.
Regarding my stay, there was no bottled water in the room, complimentary or for a price (though the in room bar menu listed it). Called them from the room around 8:30 pm to have some delivered and caught attitude from the rude woman who answered. After an hour, no water so I had to trek downstairs to the front desk. Also there were super old lamps in the room, one of which had no way of turning on (?!) I only stayed here bc my office is in the same building but won’t stay again.

Disappointing check in experience. There was 1 person at the front desk with a long line of customer. Several managers walked by/through with no greetings to anyone or apologies. Front desk was nice and apologized multiple times.

Our Room was next to the elevators , we could not sleep, no directions or welcoming , didn’t specify that we had to have valet parking to find a park , and we were hungry the restaurant had a long line , at checking in no information about where to eat reservations inside the hotel it next day breakfast times or options , only here’s your key there’s the gym and there’s the pool

Checking in went smooth - checking out - not so much. First, the in room checkout service was “unavailable”. Then the two customer service persons at the front desk could not process a single checkout without leaving their posts for multiple minutes leaving a line of guests waiting while the front desk was unattended. I myself, asking for valet change caused the person checking me out to leave for 5 minutes before returning with four $5 bills. I observed this disappearance happen with every guest in line. My checkout process took over 20 minutes. Not sure what or why but this failure in customer processing seems characteristic for the Fairmont. It was annoying to watch such a poor display of proficiency in a core function of the lodging industry.

Most unremarkable Fairmont I have ever stayed in. Staff was adequate but surprisingly not as engaging as would be expected. Pillows were old and lumpy- not the down and feather mix expected of a top tier hotel. Bed sheets felt old, as if they had ”pilled” or otherwise needed replaced but saw in the morning it was actually the mattress and mattress pad that was old and covered in little pill bumps. Truly unacceptable once again for what was spent, and for a Fairmont. Parking is very expensive and attendant put my bags on top of my protective convertible trunk spacer almost crushing it. I don’t mean to sound elitist, but it is a minimal expectation of staff of what is a Fairmont. The front desk staff never asked about my stay when I checked out I and when I checked in I was not greeted before standing there and saying something to make my presence known. Just an odd experience and will not ever recommend nor will I be back..

Most service was Excellent. A couple of things could be improved. Our suite had a mini bar but nothing to store ice or personal drinks, etc. Way too cold in common areas.
A Desk clerk kept me waiting for hours for a fax that was never going yo come because they were out of toner and had been for several days. THAT was unaccusable and cost me a lot of angst and a good sum of money as well.

It was my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary so I requested that some chocolate strawberries be sent to the room. I was assured they would be delivered a little after 4pm. At 8am the next morning I checked with my parents and they had received no delivery. I called and was assured they would be sent up right away. I let them know that we needed to leave by 9am. We waited until 945am and no delivery so we had to go. Very disappointed that the hotel was so inept for such a special occasion.

1. My room had only one outlet and it was in the lamp between the beds. 2. No fridge even though at check-in, it was offered. 3. Understaffed in dining room, I stopped going for breakfast because there was no wait staff. 4. food needs a re-think. After on dinner, never again. However your concierge Phillip was a delight to talk to and I was glad when the Starbucks finally opened. The parking people were great too.

Finding the on / off switches for the lamps was a bit frustrating. Would be more convenient if the switch was on the base of the lamps or the wall. It took me a while to realize that I needed to reach under the lampshade.
