The hotel building is an extensive themed remodel of an older hotel.
We were unable to sleep due to lack of sound insulation inherent in construction of building

Convenient location, Got a suite had a sink and cabinets and fridge, separate bedroom and a living room with a pullout couch and a dining table for four. Large closet and desk perfect amount of storage space places to hang your coat convenient restaurant options. Very clean super friendly staff. Seems like valet was a bit short staffed at times which made things a little difficult, not a huge deal learned after the first day to a lot for extra time to get the car out. Would absolutely stay there again!

The lobby bar tender was great. Landshark bar and grill was great. There wasn't any shower gel left or hand lotion left in the room. We couldn't figure out how to get a bloody Mary with breakfast. Buffet was nothing special.

Great hotel. Wonderful staff at breakfast buffet. But, the handicapped accommodations were terrible. TV was out for 2 days. Asked for assistance to fix and had to make an appointment. No one showed up, no one called to check on it or to let me know the tv service was back on.

The hotel has under gone a significant transformation. They have done a great job with the remodel and was very pleased with all of the amenities and restaurants on site. The location is great kid pet friendly, and kind helpful staff. The one questionable item was valet as they only had two staff working on a Saturday night with Joe Coy in town. It took 45 min just to get into valet because of the backup. Besides this and probably an isolated incident i would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

I’ve been staying at this location for over 25 years, through its transitions from Embassy Suites to Tahoe Vacation Resort, and now Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, the recent rebranding feels like nothing more than a purely cosmetic makeover.
While the new décor aligns with the Margaritaville theme, the substance of the hotel hasn’t improved. The elevators are painfully slow, making simple trips a frustrating ordeal. The food is absurdly overpriced for what’s offered, which was another disappointment.
Although the rooms were clean at first glance, it was clear that the cleaning was only surface-level. Baseboards, windowsills, and even under the couch cushions revealed dirt, grime, and trash left behind by previous visitors. This level of cleanliness is far from what I’ve come to expect from a property I’ve visited for decades.
On a positive note, the pond in the center of the hotel remains as beautiful as ever, and the staff was fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. It’s clear they’re doing their best with what they have to work with.
Overall, the changes to this hotel don’t justify the hype. I left feeling unimpressed and disappointed, especially considering how much I’ve enjoyed staying here in the past. I hope management addresses these issues to restore some of the charm and quality that long-time guests like myself have come to love.

We did not get the room we requested. We were forced to ise valet parking, no parking at the hotel. We had a choice to park about a mile away.No vending machines on property so we had to go to outside store to pick up a can of soda.brakefast bar too inexpensive. Elevators too far from both ends of hotel. No beverages such as bottled water sold on the property. Bathroom in poor repair with broken TP holder, weak stream of water out of showerhead.

Our first time staying at MargaritaVille. It was an amazing stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The guys running the valet were very efficient. We loved being so close to all the casinos and shopping. A short walk to the lake! Special shot out to the nice gentleman working the bar inside Land Shark Bar and Grill. He was fantastic!

Got to the hotel..only one person at the counter to check you in...took over 40 minutes to check in...went to dinner...came back and the alarm went off...stayed on for hours...manager was supposed to get back to me to offer some sort of compensation within 48 hours....still waiting...

The emergency alarm sounded at 6 something so my family and I evacuated the building, only to find that it was a false alarm. At sometime around 8 the alarm sounded again and sounded until 10:55 when my children keep complaining that the alarm was annoyingly loud and that they couldn’t sleep.

We found dog poop next to the entrance to the swimming pool. It was bad enough that my kids didn’t want to use the pool. I mentioned it to the manager and she said that she couldn’t do anything to reimburse us for a facility fee that we couldn’t even make use of. If you’re going to allow let’s, then make sure pet owners clean up. And I was shocked that the manager wouldn’t reimburse us even for a little.

The fire alarm went off for three hours and the hotel did not know how to handle the situation. We have small children and they were terrified. At about 10pm we finally left the property. I am trying to get a refund and I can’t get anyone to answer the phone.

We love this hotel and have stayed many times. I was disappointed in the breakfast service this time. One, they no longer let you take it to your room, but nothing we received stated that you had to dine in. We stood in line for 30 minutes for a table, the last 5 - 7 minutes was while the hostess was making mimosas for tables. Once we finally were able to enter the breakfast area, the coffee was empty, there were no cups, the eggs, bacon, sausage, and has browns were all empty. They brought out fresh pancakes, but the syrup was completely empty. The people working were annoyed when I asked if anything was going to be refilled. They are charging $25 per person (with tax) for breakfast, but there was nothing left. The hotel manager did refund what I paid for breakfast when I went to the front desk, but the staff in the breakfast area could do a whole lot better.

The floor to our room was noticeably dirty. I brought sanitizing wipes and wiped down the bathroom faucet handles and counter area before setting our personal items on it and they were dirty. The shower curtain didn't go all the way down so the bathroom floor kept getting wet too; we placed one of our towels on there (in addition to the one that was designated for the floor) just to absorb water and prevent slipping. The bartender was very friendly and personable. He provided great service, was knowledgeable, and exchanged pleasant conversations.

Great atmosphere! Staff were freindly. Multiple bars and restaurants. Even had a simger in the lounge singing Jimmy Buffet songs. This is out new faborite place to stay in Tahoe

This hotel is very clean and the rooms are amazing. We stayed in a king suite and it was like a one bedroom apartment. Very spacious. Veronica at the front desk was amazing. The only negative is there is not any self parking and on top of the resort fee they charge an additional $35 per night to valet park. It’s really the only parking.
