Dated but clean and convenient hotel

Well we got into town a few hours early and we stopped in twice to see if we could get an early check in to shower. The front desk girl wasn’t the nicest and insisted we could not be our room wasn’t ready yet. I know that hotel wasn’t full and don’t see why she couldn’t have switched our room so we could at least get in for shower. A little flexibility goes a long ways sometimes. In this case wouldn’t stay at this hotel again!

The hotel is located well in keystone. Just a short drive to my Rushmore. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfy. The only thing missing was an elevator.

The close proximity of the property to Mt. Rushmore was very helpful. The facilities are older, but they are well maintained. The room was quite large and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would consider staying here on a future visit to the area.

The mattress on our bed was horrible. We were notified shortly before our arrival of limited cleaning staff and no breakfast service. Probably won’t stay here again,

The room was pretty nice it really needs a door between the dressing room and the bedroom part cuz the only place to dress is actually in with the shower room They are not handicapped friendly at all One of the maids help me carry my luggage down the stairs because I couldn't do it alone

For an older hotel we had no complaints. It’s in a great location. There’s no breakfast or room service and no elevator but hey you can’t have everything🙂. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is comfortable and clean. Close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. You can walk to the restaurants: subway, pizza, etc. If the hotel parking is not available you can use the parking from the adjacent businesses.

Accommodations were guite comfortable. Parking is an issue, spaces are tight in size and number. Enjoyed sitting on veranda in the evenings, it was a social gathering spot.

The bathroom was dirty. The carpet is worn and very dirty. There were no amenities. No breakfast, no pool. There was no real choice of tea in the lobby. There is no elevator. I would not stay there again. However, the staff was incredibly nice.

The people were great. Everyone from front desk to cleaning staff. The lobby was great, too. So was the location.
Our hotel room, though, was not so great. Decor (maybe furnishings) were from the 70s. The bed was absolutely horrible. The bath was again, old and outdated. Finally, the AC mostly got the room cold… but it couldn’t reduce humidity. So the carpet felt clammy to walk on.
I think I’d pick different spot on next trip.

Everything we needed just one night. One thing I will say is the drain was half way plugged when we were there, and when we left it hadn't drained so they need to pay attention to preventive maintainence. Checked in late and the staff called to let me know if they weren't there where the key would be so that was a plus.

The bathroom was so small not meant for anyone over 5ft. The office closes at 6pm so when our air-conditioning did not work there was no one to talk to.
Loved how close it was to walk the boardwalk and restaurants.

We stayed here as a stop on a 9 day road trip the hotel was dated and gave an overall feeling of uncleanliness. The beds were very uncomfortable. There were only 4-5 tv channels available. The location in Keystone was good but the condition of facility was poor. We were very glad to be moving on the our next stop

Room was okay but smelled like it had been smoked in when it was supposed to be a non smoking room. Location was great being right in town and walkable to everything in town. Room was dated and mattress was okay.

Price was fine and location was good but it’s old and runner down. You have to pay for extra towels and things like that. Just can tell they aren’t doing well financially. But no bugs so that was a plus

From the moment we checked in we realized this was the place for us. Walked around the lobby reading scripture verses and encouraging quotes. Stacey made us feel at home and part of the family which we are.

We booked 2 rooms here, the gentleman at the front desk called to check on our whereabouts because he leaves the office at 10. When we arrived and picked up our keys, one of the door locks was broken.
The room we did get into, was not the cleanest. It's an older hotel. What gets this hotel the 5 stars is the staff. We called the after hours number and they got us checked into another hotel for the evening. They were responsive and immediately took care of us.

Great staff, so accommodating! Our room was nice, but inconvenient for an older couple walking up and down to the 3rd floor. Great view and close walking distance to dining and shopping.
