The hotel, Certosa di Maggiano was absolutely amazing! Hotel staff were amazing, the grounds of the hotel and views were nothing short of spectacular! Had a wonderful time walking around in the city- very relaxing and welcoming. They even had a special dessert with candle for Dad (they really pay attention to details). This is the most amazing hotel I have stayed in!

Beautiful little property just outside the gates of Siena. It has a wonderful history and lovely staff and owners. Each room is unique, the library is the perfect place for aperitivo, the grounds are beautiful, and the breakfast (included) was excellent. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay. The setting is incredibly peaceful, and the birdsong, sunset, and views are lovely. The buffet breakfast was ample and delicious. The service and staff were outstanding. I wished I could stay longer. Definitely hope to return!

I was in Italy for my Honeymoon. We stayed in Amalfi and Rome as well, but our stay here was our favorite. The views were amazing, the property is beautiful, the staff is so kind and helpful and the rooms were very clean. I am a pretty critical person and I can’t find one bad thing to say about this place. If I go back to Tuscany I will definitely stay here again. The breakfast they set out everyday was delicious. The restaurant for dinner was one of the best places we ate on our trip. The staff was very attentive and always quick to help with everything. Since the property was built in the 1300’s I was a little worried about what the rooms might look like in person because a lot of websites make them look better than they are, but the one we stayed in was like new while still having an older classic charm. The property is in the countryside but still just right outside of the main town of Siena so you get the best of both worlds. Also it’s close to a lot of cool sights and places to visit in the countryside. You will not be disappointed. If you’re reading this BOOK THIS HOTEL!

One of the staff members, I forgot her name (she’s from Philadelphia originally) was BEYOND helpful. She literally built a whole itinerary for me because I decided to rent a car and explore Tuscany myself instead of doing a tour. I owe her a thanks for such an amazing experience. She made my trip. Organized the rental car for me too. Absolutely super helpful I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know who wants to experience the region.

Beautiful old monastery turned into a unique property. This was a perfect stay in Tuscany! The pool and gardens were gorgeous. Staff was attentive and friendly. Breakfast was the best we had in Italy! Our upgraded suite with a terrace was spacious and authentic for a Tuscan stay. We love this property and hope to return again!

A beautiful and relaxing stay at Hotel Certosa do Maggiano. They have the most picturesque grounds, beautiful pool area, relaxing common areas and friendly and helpful staff. We loved it so much that we stayed an extra day. There were so many amenities and after traveling through Italy for 2 weeks, it was nice to have a large room with real air conditioning and a real, soft bed with a real comforter. You don’t always get that in Italian hotels. Will highly recommend.

Certosa Di Maggiano was our favorite among all the hotels we stayed in during our recent 3 weeks trip to Italy. The property is beautiful and close to Sienna with a very charming feel. The food was wonderful, both at the breakfast buffet as well as the restaurant for dinner. The highpoint for us however was the amazing and professional staff. The concierge and front desk staff took fantastic care of us making arraignments, solving problems and ensuring we had the best stay possible.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Extremely beautiful and unique hotel in a historic monastery. Hearing church bells and witnessing an Easter service on the hotel property in a beautiful Tuscan setting was definitely a memorable experience. Staff go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and hassle-free.

It is a unique building a restored monastary . great location 2 minutes from the heart of the old city of Siena . Staff were warm and friendly , breakfast was great , room was lovely all in all highly recommended stay

I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a beautiful countryside hotel not far from the city. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly! The food and atmosphere were phenomenal as well!

Absolutely incredible stay, wonderfully welcoming staff, enormous attention to detail and to ensuring guests are 100% comfortable. Breakfast in particular is a feast for the eyes and soul. Left feeling recharged.

Incredible hotel - truly one-of-a-kind. The entire hotel and grounds are filled with interesting rooms and unique alcoves to explore: a chic bar, a library filled with atlases, a lovely salon, and beautifully-lit pathways through olive trees and gardens. There is something special and timeless about this place.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to a lovely, comfortable room which exceeded our expectations. Dinner was so good that we ate all of our dinners here- and Sunday morning our very own church service began- quite a lovely church- within the Certosa. We hope to return and repeat!

This was truly the best hotel we’ve stayed at, not just in Italy, but around the world. The staff was incredible; so helpful and friendly (they would help arrange taxis and wine tours). The grounds are elegant; a historical monastery converted into a posh, modern boutique hotel. The restaurant deserves a Michelin star. All in all, this is a 5-star hotel that stays true to its intimate and humble roots.
