Rishi met us late in the night to check us in and made sure we were comfortable. He also gave us great recommendations about local activities. His service added to the overall cozy atmosphere of the inn. It was a great stay!

From checking in until departure, this was an exceptional place to stay in Monterey. Rishi, the manager, was extremely helpful, instructing us how to use the fireplace. Will definitely be back.

Great hotel and great location! It was about a block from the ocean, where you can get on walking trails right on the coast!
Rishi, at the office, was kind and helpful with suggestions for food and activities. They offer a simple breakfast (donuts, yogurt, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, juice and coffee). They also offer snacks (granola bars, yogurt, fruit) throughout the day. They have a coffee machine in the lobby that makes a great latte and hot chocolate.
The shower was great, nice water pressure. Our room had a small massage chair in it, that was nice after a day of hiking.
Like the location. It's in a quiet neighborhood, away from all the busyness and traffic of Monterey.

Excellent location for short stay within walking distance of Pacific Ocean beach, Carmel's 17-Mile Drive, Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course (a true ocean-side links) and John Denver Memorial. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful in suggesting a superb restaurant for dinner (Beach House at Lovers Point).Our room was large, clean and equipped with California King-Plus bed and walk-in shower.

Property is beautiful and close proximity to nature and restaurants. Pictures don’t do it justice. Walking distance to the ocean. Rooms are updated clean and welcoming Staff is friendly and looking to help make your stay a pleasure. We will be back.

Good location not far from the sea and quick drive to shops and restaurants The accommodation was very clean and had good amenities for our two night stay.

This was the third time I’ve stayed at the Sunset and it was great. The staff is Ca lovely and pleasant. The room was very clean and cozy. I live the fireplace and the bed was very comfortable.

This property was super cute, quiet and very clean. The management was on site and when the tv didn’t work they came and fixed it promptly. Walking distance to the beach and staff very helpful.

The property was close to the beach, quiet and walkable. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was simple but adequate. Staff were so pleasant and kind, very sweet people. The only thing I was not fond of was feeling like I was in someone's living room when you check in. It was very cluttered with books, plants, religious statues. The property ground reflected the same.

The staff went above and beyond and made my wife and I feel so so welcome. They let us know about the nice 2 minute walk to the beach. We had a very pleasant stay and we will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was very nice, me and the lady stayed here for Labor Day weekend. Very quiet, nice little breakfast in the morning. Toast, yogurt, fruit, donuts, coffee, apple juice, cranberry juice. Slept with our hotels windows wide open all night, left windows open during day very safe place. It’s away from all the craziness in Monterey, short 5-10 min walk down to the beach with a few good spots to relax. Sunset is right there. Carmel is a short drive, Monterey as well. Front desk was awesome with great customer service.

Perfect place to stay if you want to explore Pacific Grove. 5 mins walk to the beach. The property manager was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Easy parking. Simple breakfast but nice and fresh. Definitely recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cozy, clean & charming Sunset Inn! Rishi (manager) and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The grounds & landscape were lovely and well-kept. Coffee & light breakfast treats were nice every morning! We would recommend the Sunset Inn to everyone because it was perfectly located near the beach, trails, lighthouse, golf course, and Cannery Row!

We searched for a place to stay on our anniversary trip. We came across this lovey place. The front desk man was completely amazing. He was friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We look forward to staying there again in the future!

Convenient property in the quuet area of Pacific Grove. Comfortable beds and excellent hotel hosts. Walls are a little thin so can be noisy with other guests starting early. Reasonably priced during a very busy time.

Such a great little hotel with an extremely cute, clean, and comfortable room! We loved being able to walk to the beach and experience a gorgeous sunset. Also, the main street is just a short drive away. The staff is eager to help and very friendly. The Breakfast is included, however, it is more of a continental breakfast and does not offer protein options. There are many fun restaurants nearby to choose from though.
