The hotel was really close to bars, restaurants and the shopping centre. The cathedral was literally round the corner. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

Lovely hotel just down from the cathedral, was able to check in on line so just showed passport at reception.
Room was clean and comfortable and a good size.

Wonderful time in Aachen, in no small part due to Hotel am Dom. Very friendly and attentive staff. Room was nice and clean. Water pressure made showering pleasant. Quiet and relaxing time. Only problem is that the parking situation is not very clear. I believe the hotel lot is the underground section of the car park, but I parked in the upper floor and had difficulty getting out. If you drive, you might want to get this clarified first. Otherwise, everything was great, and I highly recommend the hotel.

Centrally located, Mercure Aachen is a good hotel choice for the location and nightly fee but rather bare bones - no restaurant or bar (breakfast is offered), hardly any lobby and no in-room mini-bar to keep drinks cold. While my mattress was bit hard, my room was otherwise well appointed and lit. Nice bathroom.

There was a water leak from the ceiling and we had to lose time for our plans while the worker fixed it. The management refused to give us a new room or compensate us for our inconvenience. In addition, the water kettle leaked and we needed to get a new one, but had to retrieve it ourselves-it was not brought to us.
The neighborhood is noisy and the wi does do not keep out the street noise, even on the third floor.
We asked the front desk staff to reserve us a taxi in the morning and they would not, claiming that there are “always taxis out front.” When we needed one in the morning to catch our train however there were none, and we had to deal with it ourselves.
Overall a very disappointing experience for the money paid.

1 night stay, very comfortable hotel. Parking is a challenge in the city but hotel does have designated spots in a nearby garage. Excellent room and breakfast, everyone was friendly. Very-city center, great for the sites and dining, shopping but very busy area.

The hotel is located in the city center of Aachen which is very practical.
Unfortunately this area is also very popular during the evening and the night for homeless people. The whole night I had to cope with homeless people making lots of noises (music and screaming) infront of the hotel and barely could sleep.
My dogs stay was charged with additional 15 € per day.
The service was excellent but my dog was not allowed to enter the breakfast room. As my dog is too scared to be alone in the hotel room, I could not take the breakfast. A refund of the breakfast was not possible due to their booking system.

The property is very close to the main shopping area of Aachen. It is kept very clean. The gentleman who checked me in and seemed to be the only one on duty every time I walked by was really friendly and helpful.

We always stay here because it is in the centre of the city.
One disappointment water was cooler for a shower in the evening.
Otherwise all good.

Nice fairly modern hotel. Close to the city center. Our room was quiet, however both my brothers complained of noise at night. Nice breakfast. Pleasant stay.

I had emergency to go back home, I requested refund on the remaining 3 days. But the hotel refused and refused to give me checkout paper or any documents to prove that I checked out!!!!
So I can request a refund. I called and I requested email confirmation they didn’t even send that. I do t understand why !!!

Everything was fine but I left windows open at night and there’s a taxi stand rite outside and they talk so loud they woke me up even with windows closed …don’t get a street side room

A bottle of sparkling water is a nice touch.
Short walking distance to city center. We preferred having breakfast in Old Markt instead of hotel.
One and only issue, NO PARKING at premises. Closest public parking is on the opposite street (w a huge Mercure sign on the entrance + plenty of spaces) yet we've been told there's no special rate/allocation for the hotel and paid €15 for 1 night👎👎👎👎

Friendly staff, nice and quiet room with bath (which we requested, as it's unclear whether all rooms have one).
The convenience of having breakfast without going out made us go for it any way, even though it seems a bit expensive. No regrets, breakfast was great: Lots of variety in nice foods, a good start of a chilly day.
The bed and pillows were okay, but could be a bit better.

die drehtür am eingang ist so schwer und wenn man koffer dabei hat, ist es fast unmöglich mit koffer reinzukommen. entweder man sich selbst oder die koffer. eine andere tür gibt es nicht. auch ohne koffer muss man athlet sein, um die tür zu drehen.
im zimmer ist ein 180cm bett dann gibt es kein platz mehr dich zu bewegen.
the entrance swing door is so heavy and if you have suitcases with you it is almost impossible to get in with suitcases. either yourself or the suitcases. there is no other door. even without suitcases you have to be an athlete to turn the door.
in the room is a 180cm bed then there is no more space to move.

A negative test is needed during covid, but helpful staff told us where to get it. The room was nice, clean, and the receptionist was very helpful with getting an additional pillow

I had reservations at another hotel that did not have AC, and I was there during a heat wave. I cancelled that other hotel, and this one took me on short notice and got my room ready quickly. Gracious staff, lovely breakfast, and AIR CONDITIONING for the weary traveler.
