We had an amazing stay. This is a lovely hotel. Yes it looks a bit older or "retro" but we actually really liked that. Our room was big enough, bathroom was modern and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. The garden outside the dining room was beautiful.
2.5
A great place to stay. In Blackheath Village which has plenty of charm and great transport links. The hotel room was large and comfortable, with modern amenities such as USB charging etc. The breakfast buffet was top quality, better than most. We would definitely stay again!
2.0
Large bright comfortable room with views over Blackheath towards Canary Warf. Excellent staff in restaurant and bar. Reception sorted a booking issue without fuss and quickly. Breakfast was very good and free parking available throughout our three night stay. Always an enjoyable experience at this family owned hotel such a shame it is closing next year to be re invented as retirement flats ☹️

Could do with an upgrade in terms of television a bit dated not changed since i first stayed there 20 years ago ive stayed in other hotels for a cheaper price with better tv and facilities it has to offer. Ok for a night or two close to location we needed but money wise it's expensive for what you get in terms of condition very basic nevertheless wasn't a bad hotel just needs a bit of an upgrade but lovely area to be in so we were happy to stay here
2.5
It was great. It looks like old condition but very cozy and breakfast is also good
2.0
Not our first time at this hotel, staff always friendly and helpful, rooms high standard but not able to provide comfortable soft pillows for the bed.
2.0
Wonderful hotel with great service and cozy charm.
The restaurant was great and the breakfast has a lot of options. You had to ask for some but they are more than happy to make the dishes for you.
The bed was quite hard and the pillow too hard for my liking but that is just a personal preference.
Good placement concerning transport as the busses stops right outside and there's a train stop at around 15 minutes away by foot.
I had a great stay and can only recommend it.

excellent room upper floor slept well and breakfast was very good with great choices also reception very helpful
2.5
Really nice hotel that is ideally placed for access to central London. Situated in a great place on the edge of Blackheath village and across the park from Greenwich. Great breakfasts and friendly staff.
2.5
Nice, friendly staff willing to help at all times.
Location is nice and quiet, though it takes 40-60 minutes to get to the central London from the hotel.
2.5
Friendly welcome at check in. Booked single room but moved to double. Great location
2.5
Great place to stay, no complaints, staff are lovely and very efficient. We asked for a quiet room and this was arranged for us. Many thanks for this, we slept very well. Breakfast is very good. We would definitely stay again. Very convenient for the O2 via the 108 bus. Thank you for an enjoyable stay

Checkin: Grumpy service
Rooms: Carpets pretty sad. TV size reminds me of the 90s
Good breakfast. Service uneven and buffet could be serviced more frequently.
2.5
This is an excellent venue for the O2. Multi bedded rooms and reasonable breakfast. You would need a taxi to the O2. Lovely to walk around Blackheath.
2.0
Nice hotel and friendly staff. Only disappointing thing was having to pay for parking away from the hotel due to lack of parking at hotel. Free parking was one of the reasons we chose The Clarendon.
1.5
Great location, chosen to attend an event locally. Parking a nightmare, no spaces in hotel car park, parked nearby for £6 for 90 minutes then moved the car about a mile away to a free parking area overnight. Big queue to get into breakfast at 9.30am and waited more than 10 minutes for a table. Comfy bed and staff friendly and helpful.

Fantastic as ever

I recently stayed at The Clarendon Hotel in London, and I had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, with a large open park right in front of the hotel, perfect for kids to play and for enjoying a leisurely walk. The nearby markets and restaurants offer a great selection of food, making it easy to find something delicious close by. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.
The hotel offers parking on a first-come, first-served basis, and they even have an EV charger for Tesla cars, which is a great convenience. The room was comfortable, though not very spacious, but it had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend The Clarendon Hotel. I will definitely book it again in the future.

Enjoyable stay, lovely room, great breakfast but wish Id known the car parking spaces were very limited. Took us over an hour for someone to leave. Pay and display on surrounding roads is only max of 4 hrs and over £15 for hours netween 9am to 7pm. Which would be meant us moving the car about until 7pm.

the room was horrendous very old and outdated. the bed was very creaky and uncomfortable. the staff were friendly

Great hotel spotless great breakfast
Staff were very helpful hotel was in a brilliant area easy access to Greenwich and London central

I like the hotel a lot, but it was very hot in London and this is an old building without air-con in certain parts. Still it is always my choice for staying in SE London

Sadly my Mother-in-Law died a couple of days before & we needed an overnight stay to sort out her Death Certificate etc.
The room was rather warm, but the fan helped.
The restaurant was lovely with good quality food & excellent service - this was specially true at breakfast.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Room was dark, dingy and very hot. The door was loose, the bath had rust around the plug hole. Horrible view of a car park. I would have asked for a different room but only had 20mins when I arrived to change and leave for a funeral. My sleep was constantly interrupted by the noise of the lift. Was going to stay a 2nd night but left at 6.30am after 1 night and not much sleep. Not nice!
2.5
Really great service and friendliness
Generally very clean and restaurant great. Food really good.
It’s the hottest day of the year and we could not open the window and there was no Air conditioning.
But it did not detract from our stay
Would recommend !

The hotel was in a lovely location, has soon as you walked out of the front entrance you were in open space. Which was great when staying in London. Warm welcome when we arrived, informed straight away about facilities, time of breakfast and where to go. Bedroom was on the medium side, which didn't matter to us seeing it was just somewhere to sleep and rest while site seeing. Bed was made next day, nice little touch. It was pretty clean and tidy room. Breakfast was pretty good, plenty to choose from and the cooked food was nice and hot. Reception where very helpful and polite, that goes along way in our eyes.
4.0
Parking and quiet rooms.
Close to transport links and the park.
1.0
The hotel is very dated and the rooms also poor in that respect - no air con and also very noisy as the cleaners were banging outside the door on a sunday at 7am.
Parking dont guarantee this its very few and far between first come basis so tricky then finding alternate options.
On the goodd side great location for transport to the O2 arena direct bus outside the door.
5.0
Typical English Hotel with easy access on transportation means close by.
Friendly staff, nice breakfast, perfect place for family.
1.5
Arrived no parking available , and staff could not direct me to a car park that facilitates overnight parking. Parking out back was terrible as large vans a minibus took up multi spaces. Out the front cars double parked
5.0
Excellent service and good food. Location ideal for walks across Blackheath to Greenwich park and the Observatory and National Maritime Museum. Proper village feel.
1.5
Great location which is let down by outdated chipped furniture in room. Severe lack of parking no bottled water in room. When asked at reception I was told I could buy water from the hotel.
2.0
Hotel great as usual, this was our 3rd stay at this hotel. The breakfast is great, the rooms are just what you need for an overnight stay. Our only issue this time was there was absolutely nowhere to park in either the front or rear car park so we had to pay to park 5-10 minutes walk down the road.

Too hot and the bed was too soft

Could do a renovation, bathroom wasn’t as clean as one would have expected
3.0
Acceptable, clean and comfortable hotel on Blackheath. However, feels very dated. I understand that it will close soon and be converted into retirement accommodation.
2.5
Good range of food for breakfast. Relaxed dining area.
Bathroom clean and new but small. Only one night so suited us fine. Room good size for family of 3.

We are transitioning to moving countries and The Clarendon was a perfect location. They were kind enough to assist with moving multiple bags and purchases for our new home. They even moved us to a lower floor when it was too hot. Lovely staff.
2.5
comfortable room, great breakfast
2.5
Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel offered everything we wanted. Staff were welcoming, breakfast very good, and the free onsite parking was a great feature. Very frequent bus and train links are within a short walk, as are nice shops, bars and restaurants.
