The area of the Sea Garden is great within walking distance to stores and restaurants and also the free beach which is lovely early morning time... The property is a very old property and it's just not kept up to par The hotel is like a Miss Mosh of hotels that no longer exist.... The swimming pool floor is very slimy it needs to be cleaned...

Beautiful property, clean and beautiful. We just stayed for one night on our way to the airport but we are definitely looking to stay there in the near future. It’s walking distance to beach and shopping, they have a restaurant on site….will definitely return.

Even though my stay was short , I would recommend this hotel . Toby’s is close to beaches, restaurants and entertainment .

Staff was kinda rude. Ac didn’t work properly. Ants were in my room a lot couldn’t enjoy my food.

My flight arrived at 10am and check-in is 3pm. The front desk staff had my husband and I and others laying around waiting for a room. No one offered us water or anything while we wait for hours. We took a quick walk down the street but it was too early to do anything and way too hot to stay outside long. The women seem angry or annoyed when you would speak to them. However, I am starting to think it is just how the women are in Jamaica. I have honestly seen this attitude from many of the women in different parts of Jamaica and it is really disturbing and off putting. As usual my husband and I were treated fine by all the men staff. Rooms are of decent size, but for some reason they put the AC condenser on the balcony so if your AC is on and you want to sit outside you can't, it is so hot! So we didn't get to enjoy the balcony at all. The restaurant was good, staff and food were very decent.

MY STAY WAS AWESOME

The property is small, but clean and is located within walking distance to doctors cave beach, dead in beach, restaurant, convenience stores, souvenir shops. Also near a cambio to exchange currency and they gives you the best exchange rates. The food at Toby’s is very good it’s not in all inclusive resort . If you don’t want to eat there try the restaurant a small walk away next to don way. If you want to go in town red tag plate cabs will cost about $ 2 jmd. If you have a juta driver take you they will charge you about $20 USD. Everyone at Toby’s is very friendly. The owner of the property is always there checking on the property. Tobys has the best price on the hip strip. 2 pools that are clean and a pool bar and also bar at the onsite restaurant.

I like that the resort was close to the airport , however the fee of $15 to me was too high. It should either be $10 or complimentary honestly. I booked the cheapest room, which had no fridge. That was my error for not reading the fine print. That made it a little bit miserable for me because I couldn’t keep my drinks cold or store leftover food. Everywhere I wanted to go was outside Montego Bay so this location wasn’t ideal for me but if you’re planning to stay local , it’s a safe location. On the last day of my stay, I wanted to go to Ocho Rico’s & the driver said it was too far, basically I got my plans ruined. I was kinda annoyed so I just stayed in my room n wasted that day. My kids liked the pool . The restaurant breakfast was good n reasonably priced . The lunch was small portions that weren’t worth the price in my opinion . I would recommend this resort for a short stay, like a day or two .. anything beyond that as a visitor , an all inclusive is more worth while n more reliable transportation

Lovely spot with a lot of local flavor, not the packaged tourist atmosphere. The restaurant has good variety of American and Jamaican cuisine. The staff are more than friendly and give wonderful customer service. I love to go for an early morning swim at the public access beach just across the road and then come back for a delicious breakfast. In the evenings, we like to see the gorgeous sunset from Sunset Beach that is just a five minute walk!

Was a quick stopover for my trip to the airport to leave Jamaica.

This place was better than I expected. Very close to shopping area. The food at the restaurant was good and the rooms very spacious

The property is showing it’s age. Minimum maintenance is done. The cold water side of my shower would not open for water. I’m sure this just didn’t happen. Could not shower and too late to be changing rooms. Was there for one evening. At night different bugs creeped around the floor. Yes you can expect bugs in the tropics but there are exterminators too. The staff was very nice. Took time to answer my questions. I would be reluctant to stay again based on condition and noisy location.

Toby’s is acquaint hotel. It’s within walking distance to Sunset Beach, has a nice pool, and a small Restaurant. The rooms have a nice patio or balcony, with seating and a table for two. The room is comfortable, however, the beds are a full size bed, and not a queen or king. The picture online is deceiving because the headboard is the size of a king size bed, but the bed is only a full size bed with the end tables on both ends. The bed is a little too firm, it’s not a very comfortable sleep. There was also a little problem with ants in the unit.

Loved the staff

The staff were really kind and the room was spotless accept for the ants! We had an infestation when we woke up this morning. Pool wasn’t as clean but the water temperature was just right. One night stay only, was suffice.

Second time staying. First visit was in a standard room, this time booked deluxe. The first room the tv didn’t work, and not enough outlets for the main appliances, i had to change rooms. The second “deluxe room” that I was moved to was just like the standard room, same floor, same double/queen bed, not a king bed which was what I booked for the deluxe. The only difference between rooms is the coffee maker and the refrigerator. Bed sheet had stains, and tear in sheet. I cleaned handles and the toilet seat, they were dirty. It was gross. Hair dryer did not work in the room. Now, the staff is alright. Grounds are well kept. The service in the restaurant is pretty bad. Super slow. I mean I ordered a meal Togo at 7:50am. Asked for pickup at 9am. I arrive back at 9:03 and the main woman at the register walks past me eating a cup of oatmeal. I’m still waiting for my cup of oatmeal. Everything is made to order. I arrive back and it’s still another 5minutes before mine is done. There’s a young man in the restaurant who has waited on me 2-3times. He doesn’t put meals in promptly. First time my meal was comped. I waited over 45mins for meals on both visits. If you order brown stew chicken expect chard’s, and a higher ratio of bones to meat. It tasted well. This place is okay. I appreciate the convenience in its location. always try to book this place from a third party, because it’s definitely not worth more than $100 a night.

This was my third day at Toby’s resort. Great place to stay because it’s close to the airport reasonably priced with good service and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable as is the property. Good restaurant on site and close to Dead End Beach where u can watch planes landing and sunset. Vendor on beach sells drinks

The room was clean, spacious and renovated with a nice balcony. The hotel is in close proximity to the Hip Strip. There are beaches close by and a fair amount of eateries, gift shops and supermarkets. The staff is efficient.

Mike keeps the property looking very nice. He loves his job, reason I know is because I’ve seen him in his clothing to go home and he’s still pulling up weeds. Great person
