Friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming.
Limited breakfast selection. No offer of options. No choice of eggs nor any porridge. No fresh fruits. No bananas, apples nor oranges.

Very helpful staff we were able to check in early and also leave bags so we didn’t have to carry them around when we left. Really handy for walk to the town and Princess Theatre

We stayed in a new room (number2) and it was very good but the rest of the hotel looks tired and the breakfast was awful, much better to spend the money for breakfast by going out.

It was a very lovely stay and we felt welcomed by staff. It made us enjoy our overall time in Torquay. A very big thank you to Peter so pleasant and a gentleman that accommodated our needs and also Elaine for being so kind to let us stay in a more suitable room. Breakfast had a good variety and was filling. My little one also felt comfortable.

This is definitely not a luxury stay and need a lot of improvements that are not reflected on the add pic! However, staff is friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable bed. Perfect for a weekend break

The hotel could do with a face lift. A bit outdated. The room and bathroom were clean. And the staff friendly.

We had a wonderfull time at Abbey Sands!!! Great family friendly hotel. Close to the bay and the shops. Hotel staff were happy and friendly. The house keeping team were wonderful, made up our room every day and replaced teas and coffees. Hotel has lots of character!! Our daughter loved the pool. Would definitely stay again.

Was a lovely hotel and it was exactly what I needed after a long day at a festival. Would recommend if you’re in Torquay and need somewhere to lay your head.

The pool was filfy and it was all black mold spots in the shower in the changing rooms. We went uo to the sister hotel and used there pool much better. The rooms were nice though good size.

We had two rooms for a family mini break. The rooms were really spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hotel is ideally situated for easy access to the beachfront, the pier also the town centre. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and we had the best time. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend

Me and my son really injoyed our stay and the staff were very friendly. Our room was a executive room very big and spacious. The restaurant was closed during our stay which was a shame and the outdoor pool which was fine because it was a bit chilly. However when we got to the room the toilet was dirty and I had to clean it, also the mugs, glasses and spoons were not clean. The breakfast was good which we only had once as I felt it was a bit too expensive. Over all great stay and good location.

We was in room 106 which was a little dated but spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows one of the comfortable i have slept in.
The indoor pool i thought was cold i would pay more for it to be a few degrees warmer.
All staff was so friendly and breakfast is definitely worth paying for as it was absolutely delicious.
On the whole we had a brilliant stay, would of been nice for a bit of entertainment but there are other places to you can go for that.
Will definitely being going back again.

I had the perfect stay at Abbey Sands. The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful, the cleaning lady is a gem. Everything perfectly clean and comfortable in this quiet hotel in a perfect location. I would definitely choose to stay here again

The Hotel had a flamboyant grandeur from yesteryear. The indoor pool was great. The room was very spacious. High ceilings. I would say perhaps the general decor could be updated slightly and carpets need cleaning more thoroughly or being updated. We didnt eat there so cant comment. The reception staff were really friendly and accommodating. Overall a nice stay in a great location.

We were a family of 4 on vacation and we just loved Abbey Sands. We got free parking, no problem to find parking. The room was big and spacious. The hotel is old, so a bit worn out, but it was clean and had a good atmosphere. Only thing we missed was the outdoor pool, it was not working.
