Casa Antigua was a calm, clean, lovely oasis during the magnificent day of the dead celebrations.
Our room was spacious, with fantastic views, and minutes walk from the Zocalo, the cathedral and the numerous parades found in Oaxaca this time of year. If we come back to Oaxaca (fingers crossed), we’ll be staying again!

This is a beautiful historic hotel a bit off the tourist beaten path in central Oaxaca. The service is excellent. The town square is several blocks away but easily walkable. Paid secure parking is 1.5 blocks away. The neighborhood is mixed - some very nice properties and others vacant and tagged with graffiti. Lots of shopping options and food nearby.

The parking situation is not ideal since the hotel advertises parking but once you are there , no parking available, also the mattresses are a bit too hard

It’s very clean, beautiful design and you’re right in the heart of downtown. There are great restaurants close by and the zocalo is near and always has fun activities and great energy. We walked it all!🙌

Great location to visit downtown Oaxaca. Nice facilities, but mattresses are too firm. A mattress pillow could make a great difference.
I was allowed to go to the room earlier than checking in time, however the floor looked stained,

I have been staying in this hotel for years. Just that this year they raised the prices almost double. I used to play $75 a night for years and now it is close to $130 to $150.
But but if you don't mind that the hotel is a great, and at a great location, in fact, it's just across the street from my favorite mezcal bar /restaurant, Sabina Sabe. I would book there again.

I highly recommend Hotel Casa Antigua after a week long stay. First, the staff was very helpful in every way. They answered any questions I had about the area and how to get about. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant during my stay and really enjoyed it. Everything is fresh and made to order. The roof patio had a nice view of the area. The location was ideal for walking around. The room had excellent beds, a TV, and the best hotel bathroom I've ever seen. Stay here and don't regret it.

The best about this hotel is Location. For the price paid I expected:

3. Privacy
It was very disappointing to shower with warm to cold water every single day, I traveled with seniors and this was an inconvenient.
Also, we attended an event, the room doesn’t have an iron handy, when calling the front desk I was told that iron are not offered and I needed to pay for the service! This is so disappointing
It is very noisy, at 7 am you can hear people already setting up the dinning tables, at night noise stops around 11 pm, I felt lack of privacy
