The property was older as we expected. Many reviews said the same but said it was clean. It was clean everywhere except the floor. It was filthy! You could feel the grit as you walked across the floor. I wipped a small spot with a wet paper towel I had and it cam away brown like dirt. We never took our shoes off till we climbed on bed. Bathroom floor was ok.

The Brookside Motel felt more like staying in a cute little cottage or cabin rather than in a motel. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the Motel seems to attract other friendly tourist. We striked up multiple conversations with people at this motel and got along with everyone. Very close to Mount Rushmore and other attractions in Keystone.

Entire room was slanted, toilet was very short. $20 per day for pet was excessive.

This motel is directly on the side of the road and we had a room on the front. Front desk upgraded our room so that we had 2 double beds and they were extremely polite and helpful. The walk into town was only about 5 mins and there is enough to keep you occupied for a few hours. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good

Bed was good .lots of hot water but tub did not drain well and sink had no room to put anything but it was clean and over-all good night sleep.

Nice size refrigerator in my room, very clean! With fall coming on i couldnt get the floor heater to turn on & the blanket was very thin. I slept in my sweatshirt & heated vest & it was cold. Other than that it was a great place to stay!

The room was clean but poorly laid out. The air conditioner was place on the inside of the room in a box next to the bed. When it would turn on or run, it was so loud that he woke us up. We finally turned it off so we could geet some sleep. We did not travel with our pets, but took this motel becaus it said if was pet frendly. However, upon arrival we discovered a $250 non-disclosed pet fee. Which was more than what we spent on the room. I was happed we did not bring our furry children.

It is very old and not kept up. The room smelled musty and nasty. No mattress pad on the beds. Just a sheet on the mattress. Beds not comfortable. I would not stay here again.

the best thing about this place was the price, the breakfast coffee was a definate bonus. zero maid service for the 5 days i stayed and a shortage of towels & faceclothes but i managed through that. the staff were freindly foreigners , like all motels in this situation no reinvestment was evident but it was an acceptable place to sleep and shower for the rally i was attending

Staff and location are excellent but the rooms terrible. Owners need to put money back into the property starting with new flooring and beds. Bathroom was made for tiny people, if you're obese or very tall you'll have major problems doing anything

The area around the property was very nice. Lots of shopping and Dining options. The Motel itself was in bad shape. Inside the motel room some of the wood was coming off the walls. Had to return our towels from Our bathroom so they could wash them and we could have them again. Breakfast provided was not very good.

As a seasoned traveler I can call this hotel one of the worst...sheets on one bed were stained with blood or mold...told staff and nothing was done...it's a shame to have to pay for a place like this. Expedia would do itself a favor by removing it from their list. Traveler beware!

Overall stay was nice. Requested downstairs room when made reservation but was not able to get one. No elevator option. Stairs and balcony in need of repair and paint. Had difficulty getting adequate towels for a four night stay.

The people running this establishment are the most accommodating people I’ve encountered in my two week trip from Saskatoon to Niagara Falls to Sturgis to home. Lots of places we’ve stayed at were not so. They went out of their way to make sure we got the room that met our needs.

This place had the worst mattress, the shower was so small you kept shutting it off with your arm. The floor itself was sloped so yiu felt like you were on a hill. And the road noise was terrible

Mattress was uncomfortable the shower way too small. The landscape wasn't maintained could not even walk down to the brook that was flowing behind the motel.
