Beautiful interior, friendly staff, comfy bed

We liked our host, Jodie, who greeted us and showed us around. Also liked the decor, the cleanliness and general atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious.

The minute we walked in, we loved Fellpack House and knew we’d made a good choice of where to stay. It has been newly renovated and is beautiful and cozy. The staff were friendly and inviting. It is close to town and Derwentwater, so a perfect location.

This beautiful guesthouse is a perfect place to stay while visiting the Lake District! An ideal location with a 5 minute walk to town. Our room was modern and spacious with a beautiful bathroom and a wonderfully comfortable large bed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem. We accidentally requested twin beds and when asked if we could have a room with a full bed, without question they reconfigured 2 twins into a luxurious king! There were fresh baked cookies greeting us daily and the breakfasts well where do we start? Delicious yogurt parfait followed by a large assortment of gourmet breakfast options presented beautifully! Clean, gorgeous decoration, beds SO comfy, breakfast was delicious and the staff were also so friendly and accommodating.

Nothing was too much trouble the girls were friendly & helpful & the chef prepared fabulous food & there were home baked cookies in our room!

It was situated very close to the town centre en route to the lake overlooking the putting green

Amazing location, very central and very close to all restaurants, pubs and shops. Short walking distance to the lake and a park. All the saff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast choices and good size portions. Spectacular views. Car park next to the hotel, didn't need to worry where to park our car every evening.

Could do with a bigger shower in the room and a small fridge.

The property has had an extensive refurb and it looks fantastic. Inside and out is very clean. Jodie & all the staff are so friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Location is perfect & only a couple minutes walk to the bus station if people want to get out into the lakes. Boot room dedicated to each room is downstairs too. Breakfast was very tasty & temperature in the hotel was nice & warm. Fellpack House is also partnered with Underscar Spa which is another plus for staying here.

Super location, so clean and tidy and a very friendly lady on reception.

The location was so convenient for the town. The breakfasts were amazing. The bedding was very comfortable. The staff were like talking to friends. The downstairs area was newly decorated and furnished and looked fantastic. S

. The en suite was a bit cramped. However on the day that we left a refurbishment was beginning.

Staff were outstanding, stunning views, close to the theatre and town, clean, comfortable room, personal touches and homemade treats, comfy spaces with bar facilities and books. Fabulous stay.

The bathroom was tiny and a bit plastic but it did not detract from the stay.

Amazing stay! What a find! Very comfortable and clean place to stay. The ground floor is beautifully designed and makes you feel really comfortable whilst eating your breakfast in the morning. All the furnishings and fittings done to an extremely high standard. The rooms are really comfortable and spacious! The property is perfectly located. It is a 2 minute walk to the centre. The room, location and decor of the hotel is really good. The breakfast was really nice and the staff very welcoming.

The water tank was above our room and we could hear it filling it up.

Absolutely stunning building inside and out, everything is spotless, the room was very comfortable, plenty of space for 2, with a lovely view facing the fells. The staff were a delight, very attentive and helpful. Everything has a touch of class and a fine attention to detail, from the freshly baked cookies when you get back after exploring, to the beautiful breakfast spread in the morning. The location of this building is perfect, a short walk to the lake and also into town. I will definitely be coming back to The Hazeldene when I visit the Lake District again and could not recommend it enough.

Only one minor thing is the car park, it is a bit tight if there are large vehicles, but I overheard a check in and the staff said they are able to get you a permit to park elsewhere if need be, which is very kind and attentive.

I stayed with my Mum for a birthday trip away and chose the Hazeldene because of their great reviews online. The B&B did not disappoint. The ground floor has had a full renovation and felt so clean, fresh and the most boutique hotel feel to it - all the details are spot on and with stunning views all the way over Keswick Gardens, Derwentwater and the mountains surrounding. They have the bar too, where you can get drinks and sit and soak up the views all day with either a cup of tea or a nice glass of wine! The staff were absolutely brilliant - they made the trip. They were open to chat, advise and made a genuine effort to make you feel important and welcome! We had a very rainy walk on our first day and the heated boot room with de-humidfier was a god send. All our things were bone dry the next morning! We actually got upgraded to a mountain view room - note the rooms have NOT been renovated, but were still exceptionally clean and comfortable. They had everything you needed, including a fresh baked cookie to enjoy. We were informed that the bedrooms and upstairs in the house was due to be renovated in early 2024 so I am excited to go back and see the changes! Finally, the breakfast - amazing!!! The lovely lady who served us explained that the owners also had two restaurants in Keswick, sadly, we found out too late to try these out, however if the food was anything like the breakfast we had, all guests should try them all! Wonderful options to choose, really different, and a real luxury food experience for anyone - instagram worthy deliciousness awaits! I would without hesitation book here again in a heartbeat - it was simply faultless!
