We stayed for a wedding hosted at Shinola. We were very pleased with the accommodations, food and beverages, and the courtesy and efficiency of the hotel staff. We would definitely stay at Shinola for future visits to Detroit.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was great: friendly and helpful. But too many strange incidents. The elevator went down and didn’t work for two days causing lines and gluts when trying to go both up and down. The lobby is beautiful and my wife and I wanted to get a drink and sit in the lobby sitting area and chat one evening. But a family had hijacked the whole room. Their kids were running around and screaming as if they were in a playground making it impossible to sit there. The desk clerk gave us a free bottle of champagne, apologized and asked us to drink in our room. We were surprised that they let these wild kids take over the whole lobby. At breakfast one morning there was a large piece of paper In my yogurt. I fished it out and showed it to the waitress who was embarrassed and apologized, saying it was from the container and had fallen into the yogurt. She brought me a new one. Very strange stuff for a hotel that has such a high class reputation. These are things you’d expect at a cheap motel.

Loved The hotel. They gave us complimentary champagne upon arrival. Rooms were clean. Building has great architecture. Had breakfast included in the rate. Fantastic experience. Would highly recommend

Lovely hotel although our daughter's room, while the same price, looked out on an alley and dumpster. The man who checked us in never said that a refundable 200/room would be added so i had to question it. And the valet people were very slow and unhelpful.

We love your hotel and have stayed with you a few times and have one future date at the moment. The attention to detail is awesome. Our recent room seemed to be showing some signs of wear. The bed had a hump in the middle and pronounced depressions on both side. The sofa was a bit saggy. The bathroom and shower were excellent and things were very clean.

Everything was ok except the towels in the room had stains on them.

Great location right downtown. Everybody from the valet to maintenance to front desk is extremely professional. It is obvious that the company philosophy is known by all and implemented.

Everything was wonderful. The bar staff at San Morello was a bit rude Saturday evening. Hotel was amazing and hotel staff was great.

Great hotel only negative bed a little low and a little to soft. Lighting in bathroom not great for doing makeup

This is a beautiful hotel, no doubt! The attention to details did not go unnoticed. From the MCM furniture, arched doorways to the smaller tbhnfs like dimmers on the lights— you simply can’t argue this place is worth the price (which is very reasonable considering its location!) The valet was so personable and really took the stress off finding suitable parking. We only stayed for one night, but it was a very comfortable stay. We will be back!

Best part was meeting Usher in the elevator after seeing him in concert the night before. The restaurant was great too as we enjoyed dinner and breakfast. We will be back!

The wife and I stayed here for a quick date night in the city. The hotel is in the best location, located near all of the great bars and restaurants.

Very helpful staff

Such a great place to experience Downtown Detroit and especially the businesses along the new festive, artsy alleyways. Also very close to Whitney and Siren if you have friends staying there.

I had an issue w my room being dirty that wasn’t properly addressed.

We stayed here for a wedding that took place in the hotel. Room was clean , comfortable and well appointed. The staff was top notch and very helpful. Pricy, but worth it.

One of the loveliest hotel stays we’ve had! Shinola is top notch, from location, to amenities, to service. We’d live here if we could, ha! Probably one of our favorite things was the rooftop relief station for our pups. It was SO nice to not have to take the dogs out through the lobby and into the streets for a quick potty break. Stay here. You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful boutique hotel that perfectly matches the city of Detroit. My only feedback is to allow guests to adjust the temperature it was a little too warm for sleeping, and to add usb-c ports.
