The view of the mountains was great

The location is very bad. There are no shops nearby, swiggy / zomato doesn't deliver here. The bathroom was dirty (its not cleaned). The food was very average and there was very limited variety. If you are an early riser then you will not get tea before 8:30. Breakfast is served between 9:30 - 10:00 am. The approach road from the main road (Hill Cart road) is in very bad condition - you need a vehicle to travel through this stretch. It takes around 7-8 min to reach the main road and the only option is local private cabs (arranged by the owner) which charges Rs 400.

The staffs are very good.

Took commision for booking is rs 900/- Food is costly compared to other. they took rs5 more for 1 litre drinking water as carring cost.

The property was amazing, especially the terrace view. The hosts were the best, they were welcoming and friendly. The owner's mother prepared some lip-smacking Nepali delicacy as well as delicious home food for us.

The location was kind of a disappointment. It was kind of at the outskirt of the town and walking upto the nain town is a challenge but if you are someone who likes trekking and exploring the hills on foot this is an ideal homestay for you.

Pros 1) Environment, locality and view is excellent. You can see mountains from your room and terrace. Night view is mesmerizing. 2) Host family is really nice. They will help you out with almost anything. (Just like an extended family) 3)Food is delicious, they served us some authentic Nepali cuisines also. (Rates are also reasonable) Cons 1) the approach road (approx 800m) is not good (you can hire taxi etc, walking is also an option if you like it) 2)Bathroom is not attached to the room (it is right in front of the room...just 2 steps) These two were not deal breakers for us. Home prepared fresh veggi Food was palatable but chargeable except BF. House terrace available for Tea, coffee with a beautiful sunrise and night view of the Town hill. Overall experience of this Roofscape Homestay was feeling excellent !!!

Location is at the foot from Darjeeling Town hill top. So it will punch your pocket to reach by hiring a Taxi from the town Bus stop. Owner to think for providing complementary pick up and drop facility from town centre. Google location is 27.0577931, 88.2451413
