Close to Surfers Paradise Spa didn'e work

Positives: The pool and lobby area are nice. The rooms are large in size. The staff members are friendly and communicative. We had a room on level 6. Dirty: When we moved in, the room had not been cleaned properly. There was dirt inside the bathtub, we asked TWICE for this to be cleaned and both times the cleaner came past, claimed it was cleaned but a simple wipe of the finger on the bath tub revealed this was not the case. We were handed a vacuum to clean the floor ourselves. There is mould on the walls of the bathroom. Cigarette smoke. The common area of level 6 had a strong stench of smoke every evening, which made its way under the door into the room. At night, I woke up with my eyes watering with the smell of cigarette smoke, and left the room with my infant to get some fresh air. If we walked bare feet on the carpet in the bedroom, we were left with dirt marks on our feet. Clearly indicating the carpet was due for a proper clean. Both my infant child and myself had a flare of our eczema rash the day after our first stay, which miraculously disappeared the day after we left.

there wasn't enough under cover parking. It was clean and ok for what I needed it for and that was just to sleep as I was out all day

It was in a idea spot close to the beach and tram. The views from the 5th floor was amazing

The property is average at best. Room size is excellent but its old. Strange things like queen bed made using single sheets and pillows were thinest I uave ever seen. We ended up buying ourselves pillows and a blanket for the stay. Ou reason we didnt make complaint was due to the low price we paid

All things considered, price, location, pool, gym and apartment features (full kitchen and laundry) it was generally good so no complaints. If it could be improved the main things that could be better are bedding (very hard) and floor surface cleaning quality. There were dirty surfaces and seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped in a long time.

Nobody at check in. Phoned number on reception window and caretaker arrived soon after. He was very pleasant and checked us in. We ended up with sea views, although we only paid for a basic 1 bed apartment. Nice surprise, taking into account the low rate we paid. Bed however is very soft and springy. We took our own pillows and a blanket, after reading other reviews about lack of bedding. We were glad we did as it was quite chilly in the evenings. Bedroom ceiling fan did not work, Air-con worked though. Good sized heated pool and spa and very clean. Cannot fault the amenities. Good value overall. Close walking distance to beach, tram stop and Surfer's main strip. Will stay again if rates are good.

We stayed 3 nights in a 1BR apt which was clean and had an outside eating area. Furniture was rather shabby but the bed was comfortable, private owner should really spruce it up and install wifi. Good location near Broadbeach and the nearby Darcy Arms pub does great meals. Secure underground parking and two lifts was a plus, so the price is fair value

Our 1 bedroom apartment was great for the price we paid. Staff helpful and facilities good - pool, spa, sauna and BBQ area (didn't use gym). Location was great - on main road and close to the beach, Surfers and Broadbeach but room was still quiet. Cleanliness in apartment was only average but the bed was clean and comfortable. Overall, a great stay and good value. Would stay again.

WORST PLACE TO STAY HAS BED BUGS, HAIR IN BED, HAIR AND DIRT ALL OVER COUCH AND FLOOR, CANT CONTACT ANYONE NO ONE IS HELPFUL AT ALL

good value for money. no frypan in kitchen made it difficult for cooking. sauna was good, spa a bit chilly

Worst place I have stayed at on the Gold coast. Tried to contact managers, won't return call or e-mails. So many problems with it DO NOT STAY HERE Built in Aircon doesn't work 1 coffee cup No milk No washers No soap dish Half roll of toilet paper No water No bowls Feel springs in mattress Head straight through pillows No Nob for light switch Lamp doesn't work Dirty carpet Room smells Dirty, holes in curtain Balcony light doesn't work Dirty table and chairs on balcony Noisy air-conditioning

This property looked great in the pictures great from the outside however, when we arrived, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom nor did the staff provide us one the following day, there was no hairdryer, there were ants in the bathroom, the pillows were flat and uncomfortable and the bed was terrible. We were on level 2 and could hear all the noise from the street especially the tram. I’ll never stay there again.

Everything was average Request for an extra blanket but didn’t get Stuffed provided in a bad condition like bed, bed side, tv unit and balcony table chair was broken Bed was moving

Furniture and bed really needs replacing and it's very basic, however the management and staff were very helpful and attentive in every aspect of our stay. Family friendly and safe... And obviously the Carpark was safe, great and easy excess to lifts, and of course free parking was a big bonus for us.

Great location and walking distance to Cavill Ave and Broadbeach. The poor area was great! The one bedroom apartment was set out well and spacious however it was pretty run down and needs some TLC. Wasn’t very clean either. Other then that it was great.

The property was clean and well located within easy walking access of the beach and Surfers Paradise. The name resort is a bit of a misnomer as that implies a level of facilities and services that this block doesn't have. Ipanema holiday apartments would be a more accurate description.

Great service!! Spacious rooms and pool amenities are 1st class

Location was great, lots of facilities to use, quick after hours check in too.

We Loved The Gardens In Ipanema, the place was clean and kitchen was ok, good value for money,,, location was great near transport,

There are pros and cons to this property. The BBQ area, heated spa, sauna pools, gym, and secure parking are great. The downside to this place is the room we had was a bit dated. The bathroom was big but did not have extra hooks, or a tray on the wall to hang body wash and shampoo. The grout was also dirty. The window in the bathroom did not have frosting, and was at my chest level, and I had to constantly try hide myself in the bathroom in case ppl outside or in the room above could see me -i was in level 2. The heater was faulty. There was only 2 thin blankets provided. There was no hair dryer provided. We checked in on a Sunday. Smooth check in. Staff gave good direction on how to get into the car park and which side was easier access to the lift. Given the good location, free secure parking, and good facilites at this property, we would be happy to come back. Hopefully the rooms would be renovated soon, then I'd give this place a 10/10.

If you are a heavy sleeper you will manage well here! The traffic noise from the main road was horrendous! If you do stay here, telephone ahead and choose a high up room at the back of the property. Our 'hotel' room was dirty overall when we arrived! Even though the toilet seat had one of those 'cleaned for your convenience' labels on it, the toilet clearly had not been cleaned (properly!!). Moldy tile grout in the shower, dirty floor tile grout, like the floors hadn't seen a mop and some disinfectant in a very long time, no blind or curtain on the bathroom window, the carpet needed a 'proper' vacuum! The manager liked to use a smelly deodoriser to 'mask' all of the nasty smells throughout the hotel/resort and thought that was good enough! I booked this hotel for my husband and myself for a lovely weeks holiday on the Gold Coast, but was disappointed at the general condition of our room. My advice would be to do just that little bit more research when booking accommodation! Saving a few dollars may not be worth it! We didn't realise that the majority of the rooms here are classified as 'self contained apartments and not hotel rooms! We were allowed one toilet roll for the whole week, only one lot of towel changes and the bare minimum of cheap and nasty branded coffee and tea, unless you were willing to pay for more of anything! Bed was old! If I ever return to Queensland, I will be making sure that I book a proper hotel room at a more highly rated hotel along the beach.

Everything about the property and our apartment was fantastic. Property is Well located, apartment was a good size, clean, comfatable, great views from the balcony.
