To be honest nothing

When we arrived, we found that the apartment hadn't been cleaned. I tried to contact the host by telephone and email to get it rectified , but they still haven't responded a week later. There was rubbish everywhere, dirty dishes, dirty towels everywhere, tooth picks on the sink, bath was filthy and disgusting, toilet hadnt been flushed or cleaned. The beds had all been used and there was no fresh bedding to change them. There was someone's hair all over the bedroom floor and wet towels on the beds. There were no clean towels. We were going to a wedding so needed to use the shower so I had to clean the shower so we could use it. Later that night, I had 3 people hammering on my window wanting me to give them access to the building. I was travelling alone with my 11 year old son and I was terrified. If all this wasn't bad enough, the next day, 3 people arrived who had also booked the same apartment through Airbnb and they wanted to come inside but we were trying to get to a wedding. I helped them as much as I could but again they couldn't get in contact with the host either. As we left the apartment to get our taxi to the wedding, we were greeted with 2 grown men arguing in the street, right outside the door, they then proceeded to start fighting right in front of us, blood everywhere. Not what I wanted my son to see, obviously that's not the fault of the host but I wouldn't recommend this area to families. Pub over the road is nearly open 24 hours, hence the trouble

The apartment was lovely, I had to message the host for the WIFI connection and they got back straight away.

Didn't manage to access the internet though with the passwords given. The fridge and the microwave had not been cleaned out and had food remains in. The bedding on the single bed had black marks over it and the pillow in the double room smelt unclean.

It is a beautifully decorated flat in a very good location, minutes from the promenade. It is across from a Bar, but this did not disturb us. It was spotless and very comfortable. We especially liked the spacious open livingroom/kitchen/dining area to spend time in. Plenty of towels available in the bedrooms and bathroom. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. Next time we are in Morecambe we would stay there again!

Just a few small things... Not enough bins and no spare bin bags. Would have liked one in the bathroom. There is no tea towel in the kitchen (used a bathroom hand towel). Storage for clothing in the bedrooms would be a welcome addition.
