Great stay for the Taylor Swift concert in NOLA. Check in clerk was a little abrasive but everyone else for the stay was delightful. Only issue we had was no ice available. We were told to go to the attached cafe for ice but we were charged . Otherwise, great visit and loved our queen suite with bunkbeds.

Hotels.com limits the characters you can put in a review. So I'm going to paraphrase my google review: A stain on my birthday trip, Not sure how this place has such high reviews. Maybe I'm not their target audience. I reserved a private room. Woman at the front desk with glasses needs to find a new job. Hospitality isn't her strong suit as she is easily overwhelmed. Keeping a running tab of other things I ran into during my stay. Door system needs to be reworked. So many people were confused while coming and going Your alcohol is policed if you bring it in from bourbon st. Watched staff harass a woman over a closed beer. The stand that holds your luggage on your room is broken. Tacky decor. Plants growing in water bottles and board games nailed to the wall. Guests aren't allowed, even if they're your friends they WILL ask them for ID and if they're a local they will be kicked out. Bathroom fan is very loud/Bed is creaky. Hope your partner isn't a soft sleeper. Water machine only serves warm water. No ice machine in the building. Elevator is slow as molasses. Picture on the bedroom wall is Crooked. Not a big deal but seriously? Window has misleading labels on it. "Do not open the window but if you do don't do any of the things listed." Also not a big deal but what? Bathroom light is on a timer. So while you're showing it can (will) just cut off. Hope you don't trip and fall. Bathroom sink has a VERY slow drain. The Toothpaste from yesterday hasn't gone down

This area is great for public transportation I was able to literally walk out of the hostel snd into the street car. The staff were kinda the other guests were kind and friendly. I really enjoyed this experience more than even some hotels. I definitely recommend this, if I ever decide to come back I want to. Also the bathrooms get cleaned I think 2x a day but the guests are who keep it clean so plz know that If it’s dirty it’s bc of guests leaving it in worst condition. Also the the most comfortable bed and pillows here, if management sees this, plz lmk what mattress brand is used

The hostel is clean, the breakfast is good and the kitchen has everything you need to cook your food. The lockers in the room are big, so a carry-on and a backpack will fit easily. They also have bathrooms outside of the room, which makes it easier to use a different one if the one close to your room is occupied. I definitely recommend this place

The air-conditioning is terrible. The whole day in temperature sight seeing and then come to warm room to sleep, told the front desk every day, but of no use. Was a pretty uncomfortable stay.

I love staying here! The guy with the glasses and thick mustache is my least favorite but everyone else is so kind and nice! The word is starting to get out about this best kept secret and it’s starting to get a little wild, SO you had better visit quickly before it gets any more wild!

Everything from the staff to the clean facilities was top notch! Thank you for making my transition to New Orleans a smooth one! I stayed there for 2 weeks and I highly recommend!

Love love love the Hi New Orleans Hostel!!! Perfect location…not too far from the party streets and not too close either! We rested very well! Amazing Front desk personnel! They provided a parking recommendation ($25 overnight parking fee) and provided info to get a discount on the parking fee! #Winning Booking here every chance I get when we come to Nola baby!
