Great place to stay. Thank you

I stayed at the property before about two years ago. Back then the service and facilities were immaculate. I went to check in at 1:30pm and the lady at the front desk was serving someone else. I waited and she looked at me and asked me to take a seat until she was finished. She continued on to laugh with the other guest for the next 15 minutes. I walked back up asking if I could leave my bag so I could get some food (had been travelling for 2 hours to get to the property and didn’t want to wait for ages for her to finish). She told me that she wouldn’t be long and to take a seat again. Honestly i was checked in after 30 minutes. Once I was checked in, she forgot to give me my room key. I had to come back downstairs to get my room key. I went upstairs and there was hair in one of the rubbish bins. On the second day of my stay, I went downstairs and asked for a towel for the pool. The lady at the desk said they haven’t been delivered yet and to use the one from my room - for perspective, it was 1pm in the afternoon. I asked for a toothbrush kit as I forgot toothpaste and was told to get it from the front desk. I went to the pool on my last day and the jacuzzi was tepid and not warm at all. I think that customer service is so important especially if you want customers to return. Definitely was lacking customer service and basics of my stay. Unfortunately not sure I will be returning on my next stay on GC or would I recommend it.

I found the staff at check in and check out amazing. The letdown was the wifi and the connection to smart TV. You have to use your own log ins to streaming services, which effects your family’s services at home. Also I was unable to connect to free to air channels at all. The free wifi is unsecured (not password protected) therefore poses individual risks. There weren’t any extra blankets supplied in the room. I tried to call for room service as we arrived in the evenings. Unfortunately it is no longer a service offered or assisted with (regardless of advertising in the room). Overall, a pleasant stay, a part from the above.

A more quiet location being between Broadbeach and Surfers but convenient to light rail. Clean and comfortable room with plenty of space.

This hotel is so outdated, tired and uncomfortable. Pay a little extra and stay elsewhere. Checkout is 10am, the 80’s decor has never been updated, the fridges are noisy, the bed uncomfortable, and there is no powerpoint to charge your phone. Also, the car park is lower than 2 metres, which is too low for most SUVs. Give it a miss. Quest should buy it and do it up.

I thought the room was well equiped, reasonably priced, spacious and having a balcony was nice. Our King bed was comfortable and the room had old style charm with a lot of wooden cabinetry and greenstone floor/ wall tiles. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Oaks Hotel.

Nice and Clean, good location with a tram station right out the front and the beach is a very short walk.

The room itself was fine. The problem was I stayed for two nights, the first with my partner, and the second with my daughter. I asked for a sofa bed for the second night and was told it was going to cost $59. Slight rip off.

The Oaks is old and tired but the rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Spacious bathrooms and a spa. The only negative was booking through wotif. I will never do that again as they were totally inflexible and when I wanted to lengthen my stay by 1 night by getting their 2 nights earlier and leaving a day earlier they refused to assist at all and refused me to refund me a single cent. I therefore booked my first 2 nights directly through another hotel. I will therefore b never book through wotif a gain. What a terrible rip off it is. I have referred the matter to Fair Trading so hopefully I will ultimately get some money back.

I absolutely loved this property. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful at all times, the room with views toward the ocean were incredible. The rooms are a great size with loads of amenities. If you want TV or on demand, this is the place they have heaps of channels and movies all free. The only slight criticism I would have, and that could will be a personal choice, I found the bed a little soft, I like more firm mattress. But that is literally the only thing that I can say that is not five star.
