Nice new hotel but probably not the nicest town in the Algarve but perfectly fine for just a night or two.

Trendy hotel close to the city Center and Marina of Olhão with nice rooftop Terrasse and pool. But the promoted parking spot in the garage was not available, so we had to park the car in the sourrounding very narrow streets. Our room was unfortunately located next to the elevator and the stairs which made sleeping after 5AM impossible due to the loud noises of people passing by.

Superb hotel,staff are willing go above and beyond, whatever your need… Rooms are a little small, but extremely comfortable, adequate and clean, all you require..

It’s a new hotel so everything was great. Comfortable rooms and very modern. Loved the built in USB outlets and bathroom. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pure Formosa. Everything was extremely well kept and clean. We only wished that the breakfast had a few more options like more alternative milks (oat for instance - Pure Formosa only had Soya, which almost no one uses these days in favour of better and tastier options like oat) and maybe alternative yogurts. Apart from this, all great! :)

An amazing hotel, close to the restaurant and other shops 4 to 5 minutes . Easy to get to the boat to the 3 islands. Ask reception for time table or other information, very friendly staff.

Room was infested with ants on night one but after that everything was fine. No other room so we had to kill and clean all the ants ourselves. Lady from front desk was nice but did think it was odd that we ended up cleaning the room.

Nice hotel in the heart of old Olhao town. Beautiful design, great pool area with bar at the rooftop. Very friendly staff. Recommend warmly.

This is a stylish property in easy reach of the harbour, shops and restaurants if Olhao, which itself is a lovely place. We had a room with terrace/balcony which was really spacious. Pool area, bar and breakfast all great. Faultless, highly recommended.

I booked this hotel 5.5 months ago and requested a high floor room with a balcony. Check in: We have just travelled 6 hours and are told we have to check in ourselves and scan passports on some machine, despite there being 4 staff. We finally get a key card to our room, got into the lift and the card doesn’t work. We get told the room that was allocated to us has a broken window so we’ve been moved to 211. They’ve got us on a 2nd floor room (in a hotel with 5 floors) with a balcony looking into some building that’s falling down. They refused to move us. Staff help: On our third day, my partner proposed to me and we became engaged. We came back to the hotel so excited. We had some champagne we bought in a shop so I went to reception and told them our news and asked for two glasses. We got told no. So we requested if there were any in the bar downstairs. We got told no. Having looked at the bar, there were plenty, so clearly the staff could not be bothered to go and get them. Housekeeping: There were also many issues here. Room not serviced until 5pm and no toilet roll or towels left. Balcony not touched as stains and crumbs not cleared. Rooftop: No sun loungers available on the roof as staff are letting non-residents up in the lift. No food served at 3.55pm despite signs saying until 4.30pm. I have spoken to the GM who insinuated I was a liar and said they had CCTV of me. They didn’t respond to half my points and refused to offer any compensation. A poor attitude IMO.

Perfect location for accessing the old town and harbour of Olhao by foot. We found the hotel to be without fault, lovely breakfast, friendly staff and the roof top bar and pool area is stunning. Would recommend without hesitation.

the stay , It was excellent, starting with the receptionist service All of then was helpful and professional. the room it was very clean and the break fast was superb. As travel a lot I definitely will stay there again. Thank for excellent service.

I stayed for 3 nights and I couldn't fault it. The hotel is immaculate and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are really friendly and the rooftop bar and pool is a real highlight. I stayed in July and there was never a struggle for a sunbed. I stayed in a superior room which was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. On arrival one of the bulbs was flashing in my bathroom. I reported it to reception and it was replaced immediately. The front of house team were always happy advise about things to do in the area, transport etc. If I come back to Olhão I will happily return to the pure Formosa.
