The property for what we wanted and expected was excellent, the surroundings were a little scary at first but once you were used to it, it felt safe, very well located.

The location and the cleanliness of the facility. The administration must instruct the employees to be more polite. One evening, when I entered the lobby with my sister and niece (who live in Madrid) to pick up a gift I brought for them, the person in charge of the night shift yelled to us in a very nasty way: "Two minutes!", as if I we were in a jail. My sister and niece were in shock.Humiliating treatment!

Nice little hostel. Very clean and quiet. People at reception suoer friendly and helpful about getting around.

Hostal Maria Luisa is the okay if you desperately need a room in Madrid Centro and only plan a short stay, like 1-2 nights.

This is not the first time I have stayed at Hostal Maria Luisa and there are so many reasons why I return to the same place. Hostal Maria Luisa is central located, and I was amazed to see that the Hostal has been remodeled recently. All its staff is nice and friendly. Finally, the cost of your accommodation is a bargain. Please, make your reservation without hesitation, and enjoy your stay in Madrid without wondering where should you stay. in one of the most wonderful cities in the world!!!..

Bathroom super small with lot of mold in shower. Guest have not access to remote for AC/Heater. Volume for TV only 10. Guest cannot keep room key, but has to call person in charge.

Great location in the center of Madrid. Small, but very comfortable room, comfortable bed. Heater and AC, TV with channels in English, small fridge with cold drinks. Very clean, towels changed daily. Thin walls, so your peace and quiet depends on your next door neighbors, which is quite usual and common. Very pleasant and helpful hotel owners, but one of their staff certainly could be more civilized and helpful, and less loud. If her statement that the couch in the common area cannot be.used by guests, because the common area is only for luggage storage is correct, then it is very strange. The rooms are dark and have no comfortablevsitting. The couch and the common area are much more pleasant

It's a lovely little hostel in the centre. Excellent location, we walked to many tourist attractions. Staff were friendly and towels changed daily. The only thing was the wayer was a little too hot and we coukdnt change the temperature. Plus the a/c wasnt included for the price we paid, so just double check that. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Good location. However, we were not allowed to turn on the air conditioner, so we could not close the window to block out noise from the street. The noise was so annoying at night and we could not sleep well.

Clean and well-functioning hostel with a perfect location. The walls are like paper so double ear-plugs are recommendable.

Great family-run place very close to the dead centre of Madrid. Comfortable rooms, good wi-fi, and even if your room faces out onto the street, you won't hear much, thanks to two sets of double-glazed windows. Excellent value.
