The front desk gal is very personable and a joy to chat with. The room is nicely appointed and very clean. Odd thing was the creeky shower floor. Wasn’t sure it was going to hold us, but it did. And the shower was nice and hot!

Hotel was very nice, quiet and clean. Breakfast was great. Check in is a little sliw because of internet but that cant be helped. Great staff and great location for the national parks.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel because we went to the Carlsbad caverns. The room was adequate. I felt the rug and the chair in the room needed to be cleaned better. They had a free breakfast which was nice. The people who worked there were nice.

Nice facility, it was clean on the outside, our room was above average, and they had a good continental breakfast. An average Choice Hotel facility. The only complaint I have is that being handicapped and seniors, I think there ought to be a federal law about having a three story or higher hotel or motel with only one available elevator. Not only is it dangerous but it is inconvenient for all. That is the only negative thing I can say. I felt sorry for the desk staff because they undoubtedly have the slowest Internet Service Provider there is. The check in line wound all the way around the entryway because of slow internet. However, that may be the fastest they have in Carlsbad, NM. The TV worked well, and the bathroom was clean. I would give it a 4.5 if I could but we will go with four stars.

We were very impressed by the quality of this hotel. Very nice, friendly staff and clean and well-kept rooms. Very nice breakfast buffet.

Clean, nice rooms, good breakfast

Great location for going to the national park. Plenty of parking and restaruants near by. Good selection of breakfast options, both hot and cold. Quiet, just an over all great experience.

When we checked in, the room was completely unmade. Towels everywhere, bathroom a mess, beds unmade. The room just wasn't cleaned. We let the front desk know. They said the room was checked off as cleaned. Front desk was accommodating, nice, and changed our room. The next room had no power and no lights. Went back down to the front desk, after several minutes, we finally got power. Breakfast-only one waffle maker worked. This place would have been great, but too many issues. No one reached out to apologize or offer some extra amenity or future discount on a possible next stay at one of the Choice Hotels.

Check in was awesome but when there was a shift change, the younger guy was NO HELP! I’m traveling with kids and I needed a baby crib, he acted like it was a problem to go look for one. Not friendly at all

It was a last-minute booking, and it worked out great. The room initially smelled a little humid, but it was fine otherwise. The typical hotel breakfast was nicely laid out. We appreciated the ability to borrow sleds to take to White Sands. It saved us from having to buy $18 sleds from Walmart for a one-time use. Great little amenity that wasn't listed on their site.

This hotel was clean & well managed. The breakfast choices were excellent & the beds were newer & quite comfortable. Great value & near to all the attractions nearby.

For a non-luxury hotel, this was extremely nice. It was very vlean and inna good location for the caverns. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and obviously newly updated. It loved the night light in the bathroom. Air conditioning worked great. The bed was a little firm for our taste but not uncomfortable. It was nice to have a coin laundry on site. Breakfast was average but did include hot choices. We were impressed with this Choice hotel.
