Stay was wonderful other than loud kids in room above ours and breakfast ending at 9am on weekends.

Amazing stay! Great place for a family. They even had a lighted path around the hotel and a dog park!

Because Wa-Tiki Waterpark is a primary conjoined feature, the floors between it and through lobby to elevators are wet. Guests must use caution in between moppings. The youth are also somewhat less neat in public use space and bathrooms, so guests should remember to wipe spots and spills between maintenance moppings and wipe-downs.

The room was ok for what we needed it for. Definitely needs some updates. However in the morning there was constant cabinets being opened up and letting slam shut over and over at the Waterpark arcade next to our room so no one was able to sleep. We informed the guy at the front desk who seemed irritated and careless, he was very rude and no help at all. I did contact higher up about his poor customer service. I do NOT recommend this place, chose another connected hotel to the waterpark.

The bedspread was dirty and so where the sheets. I had to ask for new ones and clean the room myself. The bathrooms were nasty dirty. It was fairly quiet but the bed are horrible.

We were looking for a central place to stay while we toured the Black Hills, Custer Park, Deadwood, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis, etc. This worked out perfectly. Room was clean - easy check-in. Breakfast provided each morning with many options. The venue "turned into" a small restaurant after breakfast that had many snacky type items on the menu - also a bar available for adult drinks. The property is located adjacent to a water park - we didn't partake but there were many families enjoying the fun. The LaQuinta is located close to Perkins as well - a very short walk for dinner or an afterdinner dessert. Parking lot spacious and easy to access - seemed safe too. We'd stay again.

La Quinta changed the room rates every day. This is miss leading and seems to be a sneaky way of making a profit. Why can the rates not be the same everyday if you already booked the rooms. I was there a Sat - Sun - Mon nigh and every day was different. This is why I only stay with La Quinta, as a last resort. The Building and Staff was excellent. The Company, not so much.

Chose this hotel since they are dog friendly but were given a room on third floor. This is a very busy area with lots of families and kids.
