The stay at the hotel was fine but dealing with Hotels.com was a miserable experience. We had booked 2 rooms for one night and when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that Hotels.com only booked us one room yet our confirmation email showed 2 rooms.

The pullout bed was awful. We had to put the mattress on the floor for our child to sleep on, with additional padding. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Window broken with wind from the cracks and air conditioner very noisy. The staff not cleaning the room second day.

Shower faucet handle was broken. Sheets had holes in them. Dozen or more dead bugs in front of microwave. Paint peeling off the tub.

We love Marriott! This hotel is the best yet! It is like brand new. The pool is crystal clear. The towels are thick and big enough to go around you. Love it

Arrived after check in. Guy at the front desk kept leaving saying her was sorry. After about 20 minutes I asked if there was a problem and he said they were short staffed cleaning up rooms. Told him we’d come back after dinner so we didn’t end up with a half assed clean room. Got checked into find hair still stuck to the bathroom wall. The fold out bed that was to be used for one of my sons was terrible. He said it was like sleeping on a chain link fence. Thank God it was only 1 night! We were safe and had a air conditioned room to sleep in so there’s that.

Hot tub has been filled in for quite some time. Never was a manager on staff. We were over charged and couldn’t not be provided with a receipt to show the amount we were charged and no one would help us. The entire staff with exceptionally rude and standoffish

The first room that we were given was a king room. When we entered we could hear the wind blowing through and then upon further inspection not only wind but dust from the outside was coming in as well. When we went to discuss this with the front desk they implied that there weren’t any rooms available at the rate we paid since booked through Expedia. I politely reminded them that this was not our fault but an issue they needed to resolve. They did provide us with a new room which was a double queen room which was fine with us. The room was standard and nothing impressive. The shower had seen better days and had a clear fixed crack running down the side of it. The AC also leaked considerably and we had to keep towels down stp try to soak up some of the water. While we got this for a steal I would not recommend this property.

This is a vey nice hotel. Breakfast room was large to accomodate many and breakfast was good. One piece of advise...ask for a room that is not on street side. The police in Carlsbad need to patrol that road better for fast and loud vehicles.
