Superb location alongside the river. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and we will visit again

Parking is non existent and there is no parking nearby rooms are very small and the whole place is dated and needs a refurb.

For a 400 year old hotel the room was very well fitted out and comfortable with the bonus of sofa and two armchairs. Quiet despite town centre riverside location. Staff very helpful. Excellent evening meal of steak and chips and not overpriced. Good spot for exploring this area

Room 2 Due to age of hotel and location of windows, unable to fit a shower over bath, hand held shower head with no shower curtain so impossible to stop water going over the floor.

We arrived a little early but the room was ready so we were able to check in. We had dinner in the hotel and it was perfectly acceptable for pub grub. Outside seating area was really nice for an afternoon drink and lunch. Tasty breakfast, had the full English and there was plenty of it and freshly cooked.

The manager was ace and was very obliging, thank you. The young staff were helful but could do with a bit more genuine person reactions.... or become good actors. The room was clean, bright and very comfotable with lovely views.

Absolutely gorgeous setting, staff very welcoming, food was reasonably priced and of great quality. Will definitely look to come back here again.

Nice place in a nice town. The food was great. Offering breakfast only between 8:30 and 9:00 is not suitable for business travellers and like others

Nice little hotel right at the river front! Easy check-in/out, the room was small but spotless clean. Very quiet setting at a cul-de sac road. No noises during night, pub downstairs doesn't bother at all. Only parking is scarce, but available on the nearby roads.
Would go back anytime!

Lovely spot on the river - Upton is a really nice little town, with lots of pubs and places to eat. Comfy, clean room.
Caveats: parking was easy but very limited (on no-through road), so may get tricky when town is busier. Radiator in bathroom slightly hotter than the sun - a good thing but be careful.
