The property is situated within Ferry Marina, just a short walk from The Ferry Inn, an impressive riverside pub, serving good food. The village of Horning is a pleasant 15 minutes’ walk away with riverside inns, restaurants, a selection of small shops and tea shops. There are 125 miles of tranquil waterways to navigate, with beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife. Regular boat races and a week-long regatta can also be enjoyed from the riverbanks during the summer. Plenty of walks and cycle tracks can also be accessed throughout the surrounding countryside and nature reserve. Wroxham, 4 miles, with a selection of waterside cafés, restaurants, pubs and a railway station serving Norwich and the coast. Wroxham is also home to the Bure Valley Railway, a miniature steam train, running back and forth to the popular market town of Aylsham. Excellent sandy beaches are just 13 miles away with National Trust properties including Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Horsey Windpump being well worth a visit. A regular "park and ride" serves the City of Norwich, 11 miles, with castle museum, cathedral, theatres, cinemas, cafés, impressive market square, two indoor shopping malls, and an eclectic mix of independent shops.
