The Coach House ist ein kürzlich renoviertes Steinhaus, das Teil des ursprünglichen Kutscherhauses und Stallblocks zum Upper Chine House ist, das später als Teil der Upper Chine School umgebaut wurde und neuerdings als Selbstversorger - Foxes Den - innerhalb der beliebten Upper Chine Ferienhaus und Apartment-Komplex.
Jetzt unter neuer, unabhängiger Eigentümerschaft, wurde The Coach House renoviert, um komfortable und geräumige Unterkunft für bis zu 6 (+1) Gäste, bestehend aus einem Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett (die auch ein Einzelbett zur Verfügung für diejenigen, die dies nicht bevorzugen teilen) mit ensuite Dusche, ein weiteres doppeltes Schlafzimmer und ein Etagenzimmer. Die Betten profitieren von hochwertigen Matratzen und Federbetten, Matratzenauflagen und Kissen für eine luxuriöse Nacht. Ein Reisebett ist ebenfalls verfügbar.
Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Familienbadezimmer, ein entzückendes Wohnzimmer und eine gut ausgestattete Küche. Ein Hochstuhl ist verfügbar. Es gibt auch ein Konservatorium, das Zugang zu einem Patio-Garten mit Blick auf Shanklin Chine bietet. Das ganze Haus wird durch Gas-Zentralheizung erwärmt.

On arrival we were given a warm welcomed by Jill who made us feel at home. The house is lovely and in a brilliant position for visiting the island.

The Coach House was clean and tidy and tastefully furnished throughout. Every little thing you might need to feel at home is supplied.
Peaceful location just outside the Shanklin old village (within 10 mins walk) with lovely park opposite.
Jill is a marvelous host providing great communication and welcoming us personally.
Thoroughly recommended for a stay in the Isle of Wight!

Perfect location as walking distance to shops, restaurants in a beautiful quaint little village. It was also ideal that the beach was within walking distance. Opposite the house was a large Field with a little duck pond and a children’s Park so our little dogs loved going over there each morning for a run.
The house had everything that was required for a holiday. It was clean and tidy and Jill was a perfect host.

What's not to like about this wonderful property? Ideally situated near Shanklin Old Village, clean, well maintained and everything we needed for a fortnights stay for a family of 6. If you want to explore the island without using your car this is the ideal place, 2 bus routes nearby, and only one change at most to get you almost everywhere on the island..

The property is spacious and has a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the conservatory a lot and beds and bathrooms were excellent. Would love to come back.

Had a lovely stay at Jill’s house with our two boys, Granny and two dogs. Location is great and walking distance to the old town with nice shops, pubs and restaurants and a short stroll to the beach. The park opposite the house is an amazing space and great to walk to dogs with a small playground for the kids.
The house is very well equipped and a real home from home with all the essentials (and more!) catered for. Wouldn’t hesitate to re-book in the future!

We had a lovely stay at the Coach House. Everything was as described and we had ample space for four adults. We had everything we needed for the long weekend.

This property was thoughtfully put together for the ease, comfort and enjoyment of guests on vacation. We loved it. Our 7-year old loved it. Great location. Super thorough instructions as well as extra information about the area. Our only regret was that we did not plan for a longer stay.

We have spent 3 days in this lovely House. Location: very quiet , beatifull view on Shanklin Chime and same time close to village centre. Interior: cosy, clean and everything what you need. Communication with Jill great. I can definetly recommend

Beautiful cottage surrounded by trees and fields. Very comfortable and clean, only 10 minutes walk to places to eat, and shop. Everything that you need is in this beautiful cottage, plus the owner is so very nice.

The Coach House was perfect for our stay in Shanklin. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and in a great location within easy walking distance of the beach and the old village. Jill the owner greeted us when we arrived which was a lovely touch and she was happy to help with any questions we had during our stay. We will definitely stay at the Coach House again if we return to Shanklin.

Lovely location just ten minutes walk from Shanklin town. The property was a lovely place to stay. There was a good sized outdoor space in which to enjoy meals and inside there was everything you needed for your stay. Soft fluffy towels, loads of tableware, comfortable sofas and more....

Excellent house, well equipped, park across the road great for both dogs and children. Close to Shanklin, 5 minutes walk to lovely gift shops, pubs and chip shop.
Owner very helpful allowed us to charge our plug in hybrid.
Would recommend the fossil walk, Ventor, Yarmouth, Compton Bay and the Needles.

Short break - Festival base
First of all communications were excellent, what a great host. The property was immaculate, clean with all facilities available. Rooms were spacious, nice patio at the back too.
Having an en-suite in the main bedroom was really useful. All towels, linen were provided and there were spares too. Not too far a walk from centre of town 10-15 mins. Car parking on site for one car. Every part of the booking and stay was perfect. Wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area. We couldn't find a single fault/problem... thank you.

Suited our needs well. Especially liked the availability of a boogie board, wind break and bucket and spade. Easy walk to the village and a good walk to the beach but a steep walk back.

Loads to do down by the beach but aside from this most of the kids attractions are about 20-30 mins in the car. The joy of the island is that nothing is really that far away though.

Lovely property
We were able to check in early, Jill was very accommodating. The property is clean and well equipped, its spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect to get anywhere, it’s quiet, and parking is available. Would highly recommend!
