This is a really nice Motel 6, and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Our first room assigned didn’t work out (that one still needed turnover) and the staff was quick to assist and provide a new room. We brought our dog with us and the room was perfect for all. Great location, with a shopping mall a block away and downtown a few minutes away by car or foot. This location is also a short distance from Cannery Row, Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pacific Grove. Short drives to all. There aren’t many places on the property to take your pup out for relief, but a quick walk around the neighborhood did the trick. Definitely recommend.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the exterior of the hotel is probably one of the cutest motel 6s I’ve ever seen, and the location was great. It was very friendly to our dog, had a decent place for her to go to the bathroom, and great places to eat nearby. There’s even a slight view of the water from the sidewalk. Which for motel 6 is saying something.

The room was dirty, there were chunks out of the wall, mold in the corners. It had been painted and had some of the newer motel 6 furnishings, but nothing of substance had been renovated. I noticed that in the lobby there was a burnt out outlet, several outlets in our room didn’t work, and the ones that did sparked a bit more than I’m used to. It smelled musty. It was truly a shame because aside from the actual interior facilities, it has all the makings for a great budget stay. Everything that an individual staff member had control over was perfect, the building just needs A LOT of work. Which is on the owner, not the staff.

The location was great. It was close to several stores and restaurants and within minutes driving distance to the wharf.

During check-in, the staff had no words and made no attempt to make us feel welcome to their facilities. The door to our room had a pretty big gap in the bottom allowing for this big horse fly to come into the room! The shower head was squirting water out of the tub so we just turned the shower head so instead of squirting water out of the tub and running onto the floor and carpet the water just squirted to the shower wall. It was a decent stay for last minute changes.

Very nice motel. The room was very clean and it made us feel comfortable.

This motel is always clean and easy to get in and out of.

The room we got this time was less than desirable. The bathroom door did not close, the fridge was noisy.
