The new pancake machine is fun and interesting. We'd been traveling for 3 days already, and the eggs and sausage were a good change of pace.

First room non-smoking- cigarette odor was overwhelming, I called front desk was asked to drive back to office for keycard for other room.. Second floor stairs up down with my luggage x2. I went out for dinner as the restaurant in the hotel was closed, no update at reservation of this. Upon my return, closing curtains realized that 3 locks on windows to rear walkway were broken, not good for being remote from office and rear at end of second building alone. No answer at front desk. I was not comfortable, I booby trapped windows on my own. But it was hard to sleep, worried about it. Slim choice of breakfast. View at breakfast was hindered by the non movable trailer on the side, looks like someone is living there due to trash and make shift deck.

Room service only came around once on our 5 day/4 night trip. Not a deal breaker, but was inconvenient.

Bit noisy by the road, quite a few ants in the room, other guests a but noisy (though staff helped move on some noisy guests for me). Ok, not that cheap, so I expected a little more. But a passable motel of you're passing through.

The day Clerks we're very polite and helpful.

The second shift woman was very rude and woke me up out of my sleep to complain about another room complaining about cigarette smoke. I was patient and humored her even though she did wake me up to tell me about another room's complaint. I told her she probably ought to go deal with that room and either move them or see what's really going on and she said if she moved them they'd have to move me and I said I wasn't smoking in my room.

I like the location.

When I arrived to the room, as soon as i opened the door it smelled like an ash tray. I went to the front desk and was given another room. This room was an upgrade.I looked around and immediately noticed the stains on the couch as i entered the bedroom i heard an unusual sound coming from the bathroom it was the toilet bowl.I flushed it to see if the sound would stopped but it continued throughout the night.I also noticed the room was stuffy kind of damped. In the morning i went to the front desk and showed them a video of the noise coming from the toilet.The response i got was that if no one tells them they wont know.So my next question was is the cleaning staff blind and deaf? No one apologized or offered compensation for my trouble and continued to work as if i was not standing there checking out.If theres anyone to blame for my experience i blame management.

Breakfast was very good a lot of variety but I was really missing an option for toast or bagels. Also only one type of milk was offered I was looking for skim or a non dairy and only 2% was available but it was still very good! Loved the river view and being able to walk on the docks at sunrise.

The restaurant attached was currently down for remodel it would’ve been a more convenient food option for me.
