Only was in room for 30 min after traveling all day when we reserved room it didn’t say hotel was going through renovation! We couldn’t get any sleep with all the banging and drilling . All amenities were not available but pool and food ! No beach access which is whole purpose of staying on beach! Totally disappointing event that I never had before at a best western ever ! Asked for refund still haven’t seen refund yet ! Called 2x !

NOTHING! RIPPED OFF! They wouldn't let us in because they had no water when we arrived, They told us they could cancel, and still charged us $118.80. Let me repeat, Best Western Aku Tiki Inn stole $118.80 from us and did not provide any service or anything in return for our money, Must be nice! It was not our fault that the property did not have WATER and they wouldn't let us in.

1. They should not be taking reservations if they cannot provide the very basics like water. When we tried to check-in, we were told the property did not have running water. They would not allow us to check-in! That's what a reservation is for -- so you know in advance that you have a place to stay before you arrive. 2. If they cannot allow people to check-in on the designated date and time, they should text or call customers in advance to let them know. 3. If a hotel takes reservations, they should be able to provide a room, bed, bathroom, water and electricity. That's just the basics. This hotel had no WATER and would NOT let us check-in. 4. If you cannot allow your guests to check-in from a reservation at the designated time, politely agree to cancel the reservation with no penalty and no questions asked. We arrived here after driving all night, non-stop from PA. We were looking forward to taking a shower and getting some sleep, When we arrived at 4:00 p.m., the front desk clerk said she could not check us in because the property did not have running water. I asked her when the water would be back on. She said she didn't know. I asked her for an ETA on when the water would be back on. She said she didn't know. I asked her if there was a water main break or something in all of Daytona Beach, and she said she didn't know. I asked her if she could cancel the reservations, and she said yes. I was disappointed since the property wasted our time, but I understand things happen that may be out of their control (like a water main break with no ETA of when it will be back on). She was polite and understanding. She said she could cancel the reservations as we had planned to stay 6 nights. She suggested we find a room near Ormond Beach. We left and found another hotel. About 5 days later I noticed that $118.80 was permanently charged to my card.

The room was comfortable, pool was easily accessible. Staff was great very helpful.

The beach erosion which is because of the hurricane. We were not impressed with the onsight restaurant, Traders, we ordered pizza it wasn't good.

All the carpet was ripped up. The parking lot was a disaster and there was absolutely no access to the beach which is a huge reason I pick a certain hotel!!!! Huge disappointment there. We had to walk way down the sidewalk as opposed to right out the back door which is what we paid for. The staff however was totally amazing! Very nice and helpful.

The hotel is undergoing major renovations after the hurricanes of last year so there was no direct access to the beach and there was no cable television. These things should have ben noted on the website so we could make an informed decision based on full knowledge of conditions.

Pool was great size and it was awesome having the tiki hit and restaurant.

Hotel was under renovations. It was insanely humid in the hallways and our room. Tv was small in room. Bathroom was very small as well.

The shower plenty of hot water. Staff was good The restaurant food was great.

I know there remodeling, but it was noisy, only 1 elevator worked, I was on the 3 rd floor all alone. The phone didn't work. The TV didn't work. There were some type of flying insects on the upper walls and ceiling.. I could go on , but won't. I will never stay there again.

The rooms were not yet ready there were no soaps toilet paper in my room the stove top was not hooked up and exposed electric under kitchen sink dangerous considering I have a 3 year old there was absolutely no TV reception they said smart TV or fire stick or roku but there was no type of reception the pool closed early it really sucked to finally get to relax and get to your destination with such dissatisfaction the bathroom door is so close to the toilet you can hardly close it after entering I cut the top of my toe trying to close it I spent a lot of money to be upset for my family vacation

No elevator. No beach access. Construction. I was not made aware of these issues until I paid for the room.

We love the environment! Having the pool and restaurants so close is a plus

The hurricane in October will did some damage and we see the improvements they are making but the landscape was unkept and broken chairs and tables and umbrellas ! I know it’s hard to keep staff but they need more staff.

The pool, the location, and the drinks

The smell was horrible, I brought my own supplies to change the smell. The man from housekeeping was weird an a bit scary. He scared my kids and staring at us as we walked by, kept creeping up everywhere we went and would literally stop what he was doing to watch us walk away (females) reported to front desk an she blew it off. Was very uncomfortable during the stay.

The service was amazing When we checked in with Kori at the front desk she was so welcoming and phenomenal, she had a big part of why we enjoyed it so much!! Even helped find restaurants my daughter could eat at with her dietary restrictions. I WILL be staying here again the next time I go and I hope Kori is still there when we do!!! My daughter had a wonderful 15th birthday!!

There wasn't much we didn't like. Even though due to hurricanes the beach access was a bit next door we didn't mind the extra few feet of walking and would do it again!!

I absolutely loved the front desk. The daily person went beyond in dealing with my family.

Clean room but needed work on ceiling. Halls were a mess due to construction. The restaurant was a big disappointment.

the ac hardly worked, the staff was extremely rude, our roof was literally coming down on the top of mine and my children’s heads, no one was willing to help us in any way!

no beach access because of the storm damage kind of sucked but the pool was very warm and the drinks were very cold

The hotel is old and they did have a lot of damage from Hurricane Ian, so I understood that part. They have it open half capacity while they have the renovations done. I will be back when the renovations are done. The bed was comfortable and clean and the shower pressure was great! and the view to the Beach was perfect from the balcony.

The rooms have and old must smell and they have air purifiers to correct this, while renovations are done. They just didn't work until we threw out the water that was built up. Then it help clear the air. The cleaning people should probably know to do this.

the tv was not functioning no cable the Wi-Fi sucks I found a empty wrapper of a burrito in between the bed and nightstand and I was able to to access room without the key due to not locking the door after cleaning up and long strands of hair

The remodel caused the water to be off for 3 hours a day.
