For spending a night everything is fine

Beds were really confortable ! Room was clean. Access to the terrace from the rooms on the ground floor. Very quiet. Half of the car park is covered. Perfect location to visit Monterey and surroundings.

Breakfast must be improved (variety + quantity).

Very noisy - construction and heater in the room - too hot and stuffy.

Staff was excellent and responded to inquiries quickly.

There was a tiny bit of a musty smell in the room but likely due to ocean air.

This was a low cost stop for us on our drive from LA to San Francisco in winter. We wanted to see the Monterey area. It was good value. The little heater box heated the room adequately. The rooms are a bit dated but fine. The breakfast was included - toast, cereal, boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt etc - more than some hotel provide and was great. The room had a fridge. Close to the locals restaurants - not the expensive tourist ones. Staff were so helpful with tourist tips. It is 2 stories so some people may need to request a lower floor room. The 2 queen rooms were quite large.

Bathrooms were a bit old - but that's what you get for value for money. Small breakfast area - I can imagine it would not cater for busy times very well - we were in the room with 10 people (2 families of 5) and there was only a couple of tables left.
